University of Southern California/Children s Hospital Los Angeles Manager of Faculty Services, Department of Pediatrics, Los Angeles, CA, 2007-2010 Administered the academic and personnel processes for over 300 USC faculty members based at Children s Hospital Los Angeles. Contributed to strategic planning efforts, such as the Research Vision 2020 Strategic Plan, by coordinating focus groups and conducting institutional research. Facilitated multiple leadership committees in making timely, evidence-based decisions on topics related to institutional priorities, governance, organization structure, and compliance. Provided faculty development and mentoring programs for junior faculty members, clinical researchers, and individuals undergoing promotion. Duke University Director of Faculty Development, School of Medicine, Durham, NC, 2005-2007 Directed institution-wide faculty development program providing educational and mentoring services to assist the 1,600 Duke University School of Medicine faculty members in succeeding in their careers. Developed a 3-year strategic plan for faculty development that defined measurable goals related to programmatic initiatives, institutional and evaluation research, and the work environment. Directed the Professional Development Seminar Series: orchestrated approximately 20 courses per year on topics such as grant writing, management skills, public speaking, new faculty orientation, workplace conflict, and career planning. Conducted research and writing on topics such as conflict of interest disclosure, systematic literature review, methodology for clinical practice guidelines, and physician adherence to practice guidelines. Senior Analyst, Quality Improvement, Washington, DC, 1999-2002 Staffed the Quality Strategic Task Force of the Board of Trustees in developing a 5-year plan for the ACC s priorities for science and quality improvement activities.
