Developed and managed corporate and government partnerships as an essential facet of accomplishing the organizations mission. Acted as national spokesperson through writing, speaking, media interaction, and public policy initiatives. Responsibilities included fundraising and program development; government and corporate relations; grant writing and administration. Oversight of programs serving over 2,000 families each year, staff supervision; board and committee leadership and support; financial planning and management. Awarded State Funding for Family Support Program for $ per year Co-recipient of federal funding in excess of $ per year from HRSA (Maternal and Child Health) to research healthcare and rehabilitative needs of persons with TBI and their families One of the founders of the NC Neuroalliance, a healthcare and corporate partnership aimed at increasing healthcare information and access to medical and rehabilitative services for individuals affected by neurological conditions. Developed a Family Health and Rehabilitation Information Program, Connections, that provides critical resource information for families across the state.

3 3 Page Designed a training program for mental health agency staff who were working with people with brain injury. Developed and edited a newsmagazine, Starting Point. Started the Family and Community Support Program which included peer support, one to one assistance, and collaboration with other agencies to raise awareness and increase service options for families. Established a new research program to track clients and their families and assist in prevention and service planning needs across North Carolina. Raised necessary funds and support to establish a community-based Family Support Center. Successfully ran point on legislative initiative to authorize a home and community based Medicaid Waiver for individuals with brain injury. Installed a new financial management system, reduced administrative overhead from 40% to 18% over eighteen months. Developed a new management information system to track productivity and program effectiveness. Worked with the Board to establish new bylaws and governance structure Program Coordinator, Reading Connections ( ) Senior staff person for a non-profit agency focused on literacy issues. Responsibilities included serving as the United Way liaison, obtaining national affiliation and certification, grants development and administration, corporate partnerships, marketing and communications, technology management, staff and volunteer supervision, development and oversight of educational classes and supports. Founded and developed a one to one volunteer tutoring program for adults who were functionally illiterate. Obtained national affiliation for organization. Developed a program in conjunction with Duke Endowment to involve rural churches in addressing literacy needs. Started a newsletter for literacy tutors. Coordinated successful effort to become a United Way agency. Developed a successful media campaign to raise awareness of literacy issues and inform the public of available resources. Developed a program to provide computer-assisted instruction for adults and children in public housing. Designed and conducted a research study to measure program effectiveness. Designed an assessment system to measure adult reading levels. Designed a database system to manage volunteers and track clients
