Designed curriculum modifications as necessary, including visual aids, case studies, and incorporation of current events to teach extremely diverse students with respect to age, gender, race, ethnicity, level of education, work-experience, and English language skills. Torrance Unified School District August December 2003 Substitute Teacher Established excellent reputation in district as evidenced by frequent requests from teachers and principals. Implemented modifications to lesson plans to encourage student participation and learning. Established effective class management on a daily basis while creating learning opportunities for students. Los Angeles Unified School District October June 2001 Science Teacher Created an environment conducive to learning by establishing a highly organized and safe classroom. Introduced multiple resources to accommodate diverse learning modalities of my students. Incorporated laboratory and live demonstrations to supplement traditional pedagogy.
