2 Set Up and Access to Online Banking How do I set up Online Banking? Go to https://www.bankmw.com Under Sign In To Bank Online, select Personal Click Sign up for online banking in the Account Login Box You will need the following information: o First Name o Last Name o Email Address (Optional) o Account Number o Account Type o Telebank Password (The number you chose when you set up your account) Click Submit Enter a new User Code and Password to be used for all future access Set Security Data Accept First-time User Agreement Accept or Decline estatement Enrollment How do I sign in to Online Banking? Go to https://www.bankmw.com Enter your User Code and click Sign In Enter your Password and click Submit
3 Security How do I change User ID? You cannot change your User ID so make sure you choose something you will remember. What should I do if I forgot my User ID/password? If you have forgotten your User ID, call Client Services at 1-800-867-2265. If you have forgotten your password, and you are on the page where you enter your password, click Forget your password? From here you will be prompted to enter your User ID again and your password will be sent to your email address on the account. How do I change my password? How do I change my email address? To change your password or email address, click My Settings in the top navigation bar. From there the first box has the option to edit your password, and the second box has the option to change your email address. How do I change my security questions? The third box on the My Settings page says Security Data. This is where you can edit the security questions you chose when setting up your account. Click Edit to get to the screen that allows you to make changes.
4 How do I know I m on the valid Online Banking site? After you log in to Online Banking, on the next screen, you will see an additional layer of security that shows you are connected to a safe server. Look at your browser s address bar. If all, or a portion of it is green, your connection is safe. If it is not green, stop your log in process and try clearing your cache and cookies. If the address bar still isn t green, contact us for assistance.
5 Account How do I view account balances? Click My Accounts, which provides a summary of your accounts. To protect your account information, you will only be able to access accounts which you own individually or jointly. How do I order checks? From My Accounts, select an account number and click on Order Checks from the drop down menu
6 How do I view and download statements? Select My estatements This page allows you to view statements from any of your accounts Click on the account you want to view Choose document type Select Date Range Click Submit A printable PDF of your statement will open in a separate window
7 How do I sign up for estatements? Click My Settings at the top of the screen. Then scroll down to estatement Enrollment. Select the account you want to receive estatements, enter your email address. Click on the Electronic Statement Disclosure link.
8 Read the disclosure Then locate the confirmation code at the bottom of the disclosure
9 Select X to exit the disclosure and return to the enrollment window In the enrollment window, at least one account must be selected Confirm email address Select the agreement box Enter the confirmation code and select Accept
10 How do I turn off estatements? If you decide to discontinue estatements, call Client Services at 1-800-867-2265. You cannot have estatements and paper statements at the same time.
11 Alerts How do I set up an ealert? Click on My ealerts The ealerts summary page will display alerts you may have and allows you to set up new alerts. Choose from Low Balance notices, Pending ACH transactions, Checks Presented, Insufficient Funds, CD Maturity notice and more. Click Setup New Alert Select a category Select type of alert Click Next
12 How do I change my email address for ealerts? The same way that you change the email address on your account is the way to change your email address for ealerts. Go to the My Settings page and click Edit in the Email box.
13 Pay Bills How do I set up Online Bill Pay? Click the Pay My Bills tab From the Payment Center, you can add a bill, view bill history, see your accounts and use Popmoney Confirm email address Click Submit Accept the Terms and Conditions You will receive an email welcoming you to Online Bill Pay How do I add a bill? On the Payment Center screen, click Add a company or person to pay under Pay Bills Select a bill category or enter any company s or person s name If the Biller is in the database, enter your account number along with the biller zip code If the Biller is not in the database, fill in all information for the biller Click Add a Bill and you will be prompted throughout the process
14 How do I pay a bill? Select Pay Bills in the section on the right side of the screen Select your Biller Select the date you wish to make a payment Enter the amount you wish to pay Select which account you wish to pay from Select Make Payment A confirmation message will display
15 How do I pay a person using Popmoney? Select Popmoney in the section on the right side of the screen From the drop down menu under Send money to, you can select a recipient or add someone new Select a send method and the account you wish to pay from Enter the amount you wish to pay Enter a message to the recipient Select Send Money
16 Track Spending How do I use My Spending Chart? The My Spending Chart allows you to see your spending at a glance in a colorful, categorized chart: Choose the account you want to view Enter the date range Click Chart My Spending Transactions will be placed into categories such as Household, Medical, Auto and Utilities so you can see where your money is going each month and manage your budget. Quickly view activity and categories with easy-to-read pie charts. When you click on any of the categories it shows the transactions that fall within that category.
17 How do I change categories in My Spending Chart? Click on My Transactions and select All Transactions from the drop down menu Under Activity Details, select the transaction you want to change From the drop down menu, select the expense category you would like to use for the transaction. Make sure the Change icon is selected, then select the Save icon once the category is chosen
18 Transferring Money How do I transfer money from one account to another? Transfer My Money Now You can transfer funds from one of your Bank Midwest accounts to another instantly. On your Online Banking homepage, simply select the source and target accounts for your transfer. What is the difference between an express transfer and a scheduled transfer? An express transfer happens immediately and a scheduled transfer happens at a later time. For example, if you know you get paid next week you can schedule a scheduled transfer for that day and then you do not have to worry about going in and performing an express transfer. Keep in mind that a scheduled transfer does not occur until the end of that business day.
19 How do I set up a scheduled transfer? From the My Accounts page, click on the account number Under My Transfers, click New Scheduled Transfer Choose the account number you wish to transfer from Choose the account number you wish to transfer to Select the frequency of the transfer Enter the amount you wish to transfer Select the date Enter a description of the transfer Click Submit
