1 South Side Bank s Bill Pay User Guide Welcome to South Side Bank s Bill Pay Service. The monthly cost for South Side Bank s Bill Pay Service is $6.95. This fee, however, is waived as long as at least one payment is processed per calendar month through the service. Table of Contents Enrollment into Bill Pay Setting up Payees Making Payments Recurring Payments Edit/Cancel Payments View Bill Payment History E-Bill Setup Manage Categories Send Money Via PayPal Frequently Asked Questions about E-Bill Enrollment into Bill Pay In order to enroll in South Side Bank s bill pay the end user will need to click the Bill Payment tab, found on the silver toolbar running across the top of the Accounts Overview Screen, and click Enroll. This will bring up a screen showing step-by-step instructions on how to add payees and make recurring payments, to continue click Get Started Now on the right hand side of the screen. This will bring up the bill pay system and allow you to begin the setup of your payees.

2 Setting up Payees Within the Pay Someone New section you will enter the name of the payee you wish to pay and click Add. The next screen will ask for the account number and zip code of the payee. If the payee is one that we do not have saved within the system you will be asked to enter the address to where your payment should be sent, click Continue. Now that you have your payee set up, you are ready to make payments. Making Payments Now that your payees are set up, you will be asked to eneter the amount you wish to pay in the payment line. Then you can click on the date and enter the date that you would like the payment to be processed. There is a delivery by date directly below the scheduled date that will indicate approximately how long it takes to send a payment to that specific payee. Please keep in mind that payments need to be scheduled to allow for processing and delivery. Once you have selected the appropriate date you may then click Pay. In the upper right hand corner of the Make Payments page you can view your pending payments listed.

3 Recurring Payments In order to set up payments as recurring payments you would need to click Auto pay found next to your payee on the Make Payments screen. You can choose to pay automatically at regular intervals or pay manually. Make sure that all the information including the funding account number and amount are correct. Then you can choose the frequency in which you would like to pay this payee. You can also choose the date that you wish for the recurring payment to begin. By choosing continue payments indefinitely this will continue to pay this bill on the desired date until you manually go in and choose to stop this payment. You can also choose to have this bill paid for a certain number of months. For instance if you have a car payment that is a 3 year loan, you can set payments up to stop at that specific time. Once you have entered the information accordingly you would then click Save Changes.

4 Edit/Cancel Payments You can only edit payments that are within the Pending Payments section. You can find this in the upper right hand corner of the Make Payments page. You would choose to either edit or cancel the payment. When selecting edit the user will be asked if you would like to edit just this payment or edit the automatic rule. By selecting edit just this payment you can change the amount, date paid from account and the category or memo. Once you have changed the payment accordingly you will then click Save. When changing the automatic rule it will bring up the set payment options and you can choose the options of frequency, continue payments, memo and funding account number. Once these changes have been made to your satisfaction you will need to click Save Changes. If you wish to cancel a payment you will be asked to verify your selection to cancel or not cancel the payment. You would select the appropriate option and then you will be asked to cancel just the one-time payment or to cancel the automatic rule. View Bill Payment History Each customer has the option of checking their payment history for each payee entered in the system. On the Make Payments screen you will see all of your payees listed in a chart. On the right hand side of each of these payees, after the name, you will see a small arrow. When you click the arrow it will bring up a small box that reads Payee Information. From the options listed in this box you will choose the third option on the left which is Payment History. When this option is selected the page that displays is the payment history for the selected specific payee. The Payment History screen will show if there are any cancelled payments, scheduled payments and if there are any payments currently in process. You can also see the amount of the transaction and the date the payment was sent on. There is an option in the upper right hand corner of the screen to print this page if necessary. By clicking Payment Details to the right of each individual payment you can see more detail regarding the payment. Within Payment Details you will see your payee name, the category that the payment is placed in (Utilities, Household, Rent, etc.), the amount of the payment, how the payment was sent (if by check or electronically), payment option (manually or automatically), account number, date, address, as well as the status of your payment.

5 E-Bill Setup To set up an E-Bill you need to log in to the Payee s system using your Username and Password.

6 Once you select Set Up E -Bill, it will show you your payee details and show you that your E-Bill is being set up. You can also choose to have E-Bills or another payee sent automatically. For E-Bills it is the same process to set up an automatic payment as any other payee found on the bill pay system. Payment options vary slightly with more choices through the E-Bill.

7 You can choose to pay manually and just receive a reminder from E-Bill notifying you that a bill is coming due. You can choose to pay automatically in response to the e bill, or just on a monthly basis. You can also choose to pay the full balance, minimum balance or again just serve as a reminder that your bill is due. There is an option of creating your own rule as well. You may also create your own rule. This option allow you the option to set up your own preferences on how much you would like to pay and when your payment is to be made for a specified payee. You may also choose to have the payment sent days or weeks before your actual due date for the bill.

8 There are notifications that you can turn on or off regarding your E-Bill. These notifications range from whether the E-Bill has arrived, whether it was received, not delivered, etc. For a list of frequently asked questions and answers regarding South Side Bank s E-Bill solution see the end of this document. Manage Categories Once you have all of your payees and E-Bills set up, you have the option of categorizing each one. This is just to help keep your records more organized and easier to find. Send Money Via PayPal By selecting the Send Money Online link on the left hand toolbar you can send money via PayPal through the bill pay system. The only information needed about the recipient is their address or mobile phone number. There is a maximum limit of $ through this option. Processing and delivery takes two business days and both parties MUST have a PayPal for this feature to work.

9 E-Bill Frequently Asked Questions 1. What is an E-Bill? An E-Bill is an electronic version of your bill that you receive here, directly within your bill pay product that you can view and pay immediately. 2. Are E-Bills free? Yes, e bills are free and they can accelerate and simplify the bill paying process. You simply click it, view it and pay it. 3. Do E-Bills contain the same information as paper bills? Yes, and in fact E-Bills also look exactly like your paper bills. The only difference is that they are conveniently delivered here, to your South Side Bank s bill payment website instead of to your home s mailbox. 4. Can I prevent missed payments if I receive E-Bills? Yes, you can set up an automatic payment and we will pay your E-Bill when it arrives. We can also send you an when your E-Bill arrives and when it is paid. No more late payments or late fees!! 5. Is a paper bill less secure than an E-Bill? It can be. When you avoid receiving the mounds of paper associated with paper bills you also do away with the need to store and shred bills that contain confidential information. 6. What if I need a paper copy of my bill? Since your E-Bill is available online at any time you can always print a copy if you need one. 7. How do I switch from a paper bill to an E-Bill? It s easy to get started, just click the Set Up E-Bill link, below the company name, and follow the online instructions. You should begin receiving your E-Bill online within 1-2 billing cycles. 8. Are E-Bills reliable? Yes, we log and track every bill that we receive to assure it is delivered to your account. We can also send you an if a recurring bill has not been delivered when it was expected. It is however, the responsibility of the account holder to ensure that all bills are paid. 9. Why do I need to give you my User IDs and Passwords? It enables us to retrieve electronic versions of your bills and present them to you in a single, secure location. Your login information is kept confidential. 10. When I set up an E-Bill for a payee, which user ID and password do I enter? You should enter your login information for that biller s website. If you haven t registered for

10 the online account access with your biller, please take a moment to do so before continuing with the set up process. 11. Is the login information for my biller s website kept secure? Yes, we are committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of all your personal information. Your login information is kept confidential, and is used only to retrieve an electronic version of your bill from the biller s website so that we can present it to you online. 12. What does the Action Needed mean? This link usually indicates that we need you to provide updated login information or account specific information to set up an E-Bill. 13. What if my payee sends me information in addition to my bill? Any electronic notices that a biller sends to you will be presented to you just like an E-Bill. Once you sign up for E-Bills, all paper correspondence from the biller will be sent to the address of record that biller has for you.
