ROLE DESCRIPTION The P-12 Daily Organiser is appointed by the Principal for a term of three years, to assist the Director of School Operations. The P-12 Daily Organiser is responsible for ensuring that all classes are supervised appropriately in the event of teacher absence. The P-12 Daily Organiser reports to, and work collaboratively with, the Director of School Operations. As the holder of a Position of Leadership, the P-12 Daily Organiser is expected to publicly support the Principal and the Leadership Team in word and deed. SPECIFIC DUTIES STATEMENT P-12 DAILY ORGANISER This Duty Statement is a guide only and is not intended to be an exhaustive or exclusive list of the duties attached to this position. The Duty Statement is subject to review and modification by the Principal, in response to the changing needs of the School, and the development of skills and knowledge. The P-12 Daily Organiser will work closely with the Director of School Operations to ensure effective day to day organisation of the school. The P-12 Daily Organiser has specific responsibility for ensuring that Duty of Care obligations to all P-12 students are met, arranging for appropriate teaching supervision in the event that regular teaching staff are unable to fulfill this role. The P-12 Daily Organiser is required to be at work by no later than 7.30am in order to satisfy the duties of this role. An earlier start may be required. The P-12 Daily Organiser has specific responsibilities in the following areas. Timetabling Liaise and consult with the Director of School Operations regarding the creation of the P-12 master timetable. Assist the Director of School Operations in the construction of the P-12 timetable, and updating it when necessitated by staff changes. Provide special assistance to new staff in accessing their timetables and duty rosters. Staffing Be familiar with, and use effectively, the Daily Organiser Module of Timetabler software. Engage and manage Casual Relief Teachers, in consultation with the Director of School Operations. Allocate extras to P-12 teaching staff, when the need arises and in accordance with the Certified Agreement. Notify staff of any extras allocated to them. In the event an absent teacher is unable to leave work for her/his class(es), to liaise with the appropriate Head of Faculty/Rathfarnham Head of Curriculum to ensure meaningful teaching and learning takes place. Record P-12 staff absences and reasons for absence. Consult with the Director of School Operations should any member of staff exceed their allowed sick leave in any year. This will require that the P-12 Daily Organiser is familiar with the appropriate sections of the Certified Agreement. Enter details of excursions and staff Professional Learning into the Daily Organiser Module of Timetabler software. Roster P-12 staff for yard/public transport duty as required by staff absence, to ensure adequate supervision of P-12 students at all times. Create rosters and schedules for special events including Examination and NAPLAN timetables and supervision schedules. SPECIFIC DUTIES STATEMENT P-12 DAILY ORGANISER (CONTINUED) Rathfarnham Calendar Create, prior to the end of the previous school year, and manage the Rathfarnham Calendar in consultation with the Director of Rathfarnham and Deputy Principal. Enter details of excursions and Staff Professional Development into the Rathfarnham School Events Calendar. Communication Take responsibility for the creation on the Daily Staff Bulletin and ensure that it is uploaded to the school portal prior to the start of the school day. Miscellaneous Duties Set or adjust the school bell when necessary, under the instruction of the Director of School Operations.
