The Market Outlook Offshore The outlook for the high-end offshore market, e.g. drilling, construction and floating production is positive. International Offshore Support Vessels, Platform Support Vessel and Anchor Handling Tug Supply is influenced by a previously high contracting rate and thus the market is more uncertain (Us Jones Act Market is different though) Deepwater Construction vessels with min. 250-400 TAHC Cranes will be needed to develop future deepwater fields Subsea For the offshore related activities in subsea, e.g. underwater positioning, navigation and under water vehicles, the market looks promising - likewise for fishery In General: Kongsberg Maritime has higher market share in areas with more critical operations and higher day rates Page 21

World leading position in the drilling market EKSPORTKREDITT and GIEK: EKSPORTKREDITT and GIEK, whilst a great product for the buyer/owners, it can also be very advantageous for Norwegian vendors like Kongsberg, Aker, NOV etc. Especially since yards often are out to buy the cheapest solutions, we assume lenders/banks are looking for less risk in the projects as only a successful project will guarantee the money they are financing. Norway is in a fortunate position to provide not only financing/investors etc, but also the most advanced, safe and reliable technical solutions to a very demanding market and extreme operations. New Norwegian Design Kongsberg Maritime believes our market position is not a coincidence but a combination of the best, proven and most reliable solutions combined with the best service in all areas.
