The MSN and DNP programs at Monmouth University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education G raduate students in the Marjorie K. Unterberg School of Nursing and Health Studies can choose from degree programs and certificates that will appeal to nurses at varying levels of education and career experience. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program prepares nurses for advanced nursing roles of educator, administrator, and practitioner in a wide variety of fields. The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) will prepare nurses at the highest level of nursing to be leaders in applying research to practice. And, designed to fast track RN s into higher-level career opportunities, an RN to MSN is available. To keep up with the evolving healthcare field, Monmouth s robust graduate and postmaster s certificates prepare nurses to assume greater responsibility with increased opportunities. Monmouth s nursing programs provide an intellectually challenging and rigorous academic experience, and courses are taught by outstanding doctorate-prepared faculty. Clinical experiences are both high impact and immersive, and extend beyond the classroom. As the demand for highly educated nurses continues to increase, nurses are reporting earning higher salaries in the past year and more than they did five years ago, according to the latest salary survey from Minority Nurse. Graduate scholarships are available for qualified applicants. Learn more by visiting: www.monmouth.edu/gradscholarships. The MSN provides the students with a broad knowledge base and a concentration in a selected area of specialization to develop justifiable confidence and proficiency necessary for advanced nursing practice and to realize their full potential through the development of autonomy, leadership, and professionalism. The RN to MSN Direct program is designed to allow associate nurses to more quickly attain a Master of Science in Nursing degree. Registered nurses who presently hold an associate degree or diploma in nursing will be able to earn an MSN degree without earning a baccalaureate degree. We also offer a bridge program for registered nurses who hold a bachelor s degree in another field. healthcare
