An architecturally varied and interesting scheme, particularly impressive is the intent of the landscape design. It has transformed one of London's most challenging communities. Highly Commended: Fraser Brown MacKenna Architects and Peabody, Pembury Circus A very impressive scheme that addressed the needs of the community, was architecturally striking and delivered a high level of affordable homes which was outstanding. A fantastic regeneration and placemaking achievement. Best Small Development sponsored by Faust PR Network Homes, Electric House A wonderful building, a lovely distinctive and striking scheme which drew on the site s rich heritage and Art Deco features. It was also a great case study showing how shared ownership can really help local people get on the property ladder. Highly Commended: Hastoe Housing Association, Hatfield Heath A very commendable Passivhaus scheme by Hastoe who continue to innovate with environmentally conscientious housing in rural areas. A simple attractive design, providing much needed affordable housing in a rural area. Best Scheme in Planning sponsored by Connells Group NU living, Cambridge Road A very interesting, well planned scheme with the potential to be a great development. Highly Commended: PRP and Orbit Homes, Arden Quarter A well designed scheme on a great site which responded well to its historic location and town with well-considered massing. Best Design sponsored by Focus Integrated PRP and Network Homes, Park Heights A very impressive building that provides affordability for local residents and luxury within a landmark building. Had a particularly striking design. A very elegant, high quality, high density scheme that is far too rare in London. It made good use of modern construction tools resulting in an aesthetically appealing and light structure. The fact that all residents of the estate were rehoused was a testimony to their consultation, homework and hard work! A well thought through campaign that promoted the brand as well as the development. Demonstrating a thorough understanding of its savvy, time-poor market, this straightforward message was clearly what so many first-timers were looking for and they have responded. This campaign, in a marketing world where the options are limitless, is a timely reminder that keeping things simple is still the most effective solution. The judges thought Sally was an inspired creation that made home ownership feel accessible. Best Customer Care sponsored by United Living Group Affinity Sutton, Development Aftercare Showed an open-minded and impressive approach to customer care, from official customer engagement bodies to the simple practice of recording and acting on complaints. Real advances have been made in customer service. Highly Commended: Merlin Housing Society, Non Traditional Homes Refurbishment Project A good example of a caring housing association, taking an innovative approach to customer care the Merlin staff clearly did an outstanding comprehensive job. A hugely impressive entry and shows what can be achieved when residents are treated as individuals. Merlin have clearly demonstrated that they put their customers first and recognise both the social and the commercial importance of doing so. An example to other people. Best Partnership sponsored by The Oracle Group United Living, Knightstone Housing and the Community Self Build Agency, New Hope Crescent The end result was that 10 people who came out of military service to homelessness and insecurity, are now in homes they helped to build. With a high focus on training, rehabilitation, practical skills and balancing physical and emotional needs this was quite an innovative project. An admirable scheme and a fantastic partnership. Highly Commended: Aster Group and Galliford Try, White Rock As well as building homes they decided to tackle the severe shortage of construction skills in the South West by implementing an innovative education hub. A really productive and unique partnership providing a lasting legacy of skills. The layout and plans are simple yet inventive, it sits well in the community and is a great asset to the area. Highly Commended: The Hyde Group Spring at Stonebridge Park Delivered a well put together, much needed regeneration project which should be a model for others. Highly Commended: L&Q, Stadium Place An excellent, innovative and well developed scheme on a difficult site, which has restored some of the local history and offered good levels of affordability.
