Although the tranng manual addresses the traffckng stuaton n peace support operatons n the Balkans, the lessons learned n ths regon can be extended to create a tranng programme for members of all other peace support operatons. In 2005, agan wth the fnancal support of the European Commsson through the framework programme for polce and judcal cooperaton n crmnal matters, n partnershp wth the Unversty of Turn, the European Insttute for Crme Preventon and Control and the Dutch Centre for Internatonal Polce Cooperaton, UNICRI delvered a pre-deployment and n-servce tranng programme for nternatonal law enforcement personnel comng from European Unon and canddate countres. In three separate three-day tranng semnars, partcpants from 17 countres receved tranng on traffckng n persons n peace support operatons, targeted n partcular to polce offcers deployed or gong to be deployed n support mssons n South-East Europe. In July 2006, UNICRI updated and revsed the frst edton of the manual on the bass of the feedback receved from traners and partcpants.
