Custom Savings Custom Savings offers incentives for more complex and site-specific opportunities for energy conservation measures. Custom projects must be able to show specific and verifiable energy savings, typically developed by a third party. Incentives will be determined by Georgia Power on a project-by-project basis. Existing Building Lighting 10% minimum wattage reduction required. All retrofitted lighting fixtures must operate a minimum of 1,000 hours per year to qualify. Pole-mounted outdoor lighting incentives are for metered systems and retrofit projects only. Retrofit incentives are available to help offset the cost of new fixtures. Incentives are not available for de-lamping. De-lamping is defined as the removal of lamps from an existing fixture without replacing the ballast and installing higher efficiency lamps. Incentives may be adjusted from the requested amount if the light output of the existing and proposed system is not equivalent. New Construction Lighting Incentive is $0.20 per watt reduced, capped at $25,000 per building per year. Outdoor lighting is not eligible for this incentive. Lighting power density must be 10% less than ASHRAE 90.1-2007. Installed equipment needs to meet eligibility outlined for retrofit projects. Other Lighting Requirements Only new equipment installations qualify for rebates. LEDs must be approved by ENERGY STAR, Design Lights Consortium (DLC), or Lighting Design Labs (LDL). All high bay lighting must be pulse-start HID technology, high-efficient fluorescent or LED. T5 adapter kits are not eligible.
