3 A Simple Idea Energy Efficiency A simple idea started 20 years ago, Use Less, Save More, has become the cornerstone of our company. Over the past two decades, Xcel Energy and our customers have become national, recognized leaders in energy efficiency. Issued over 30,000 rebates totaling more than $151 million Postponed the need to build nine medium-sized power plants Saved enough energy to power a quarter of all Minnesota households for an entire year 3
