1 Vectren Commercial/Industrial New Construction Application Completing and submitting this application is the first step to apply for incentives through Vectren s Commercial/Industrial New Construction program. To qualify, the building premise must plan to be a Vectren commercial/industrial electric customer on a small general service, demand general service, large power, high load factor, or off-season service rate. Custom projects must be preapproved prior to the project s start to reserve funding and confirm electricity savings. It is also recommended that standard projects are included on the preapproval application to ensure funding will be available upon project completion. s are limited to $100,000 per customer per calendar year. Instructions for Application Submittal All applicable fields must be completed on the form; incomplete forms will not be processed or reviewed. Allow up to four weeks to receive preapproval notice. Custom project(s) may not be initiated prior to preapproval by Vectren. Use the appropriate checklist for either preapproval or final submittal to ensure your form is filled out accurately and completely. Preapproval Application If you re applying for custom incentives, you must fill out the preapproval application and receive approval from Vectren prior to initiating any projects. If you re applying for standard incentives, preapproval is encouraged but not required. If the planned efficiency project is not specifically listed below and does not qualify for prescriptive rebates through Energizing Indiana, the project is considered a custom project. Custom projects require preapproval and can include any electric energy efficiency improvement beyond baseline building code. Please use the Custom Worksheet on the last page of this application to submit custom projects for preapproval. 6 VI. Custom Worksheet An energy engineer will review this application for energy impacts, cost-effectiveness and incentive eligibility. Who should the engineer contact with technical questions and project clarifications? 7 VIII: Terms & Conditions General Eligibility: This offer provides rebates for the purchase and performance of new qualifying equipment and/or services and is not dependent on the purchase of any other product or service unless indicated. Offer valid only for Vectren Energy Delivery electric customers. Location of installed equipment must have Vectren electric service. Customer must be a US resident (including a U.S. resident alien) and must provide their correct taxpayer identification number. Rebate funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Verification: Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana reserves the right to verify sales receipts of equipment purchased and/or services performed before issuing rebates. A random inspection may be conducted to verify installations. Program Modifications: Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana reserves the right to alter or discontinue these rebate offers at any time without notice. Rebate funds are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Disclaimer: Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana does not guarantee that energy efficiency measures purchased and installed or services provided through this program will result in energy and cost savings. Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana reserves the right to deny or limit any rebate request. In addition, no warranties on product or service installations are provided by Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana, nor does the program warranty, guarantee or endorse the energy efficiency services provided by any specific contractor participating in the program. Please allow up to six (6) weeks to receive your rebate. Vectren reserves the right to request additional time for confirmation if additional information is request of the applicant. Incomplete rebate applications will not be processed. Eligibility Dates: This rebate form is only eligible for qualified purchases and installations. Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana reserves the right to alter or discontinue this program or related rebates at any time without notice. Rebate Application must be postmarked within 90 days of purchase to be considered eligible for rebates. Projects constructed with space heating equipment utilizing an electric fuel source, COP efficiencies below 3.0 and exceeding 10% of total building space heating loads will be ineligible for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) prescriptive and custom incentives. Space heating loads will be defined by equipment capacities. Examples of space heating equipment include electric resistance or heat pump equipment. Once all documentation is received by Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana (a site inspection may be completed if necessary), Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana will indicate the anticipated incentive amount in an acceptance letter based on the projected energy savings. Upon completion of the project and verification of installation and operation of the energy saving measures, Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana will issue an incentive check in the amount indicated in the acceptance letter, or adjusted if the project varies from the information originally submitted. Depending on the scope or cost of your energy efficiency project, Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana, may conduct an inspection of the facility. The customer agrees to allow subsequent site visits, if needed, to verify installation and operability, prior to Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana issuing the incentive check. Taxes: s are taxable and if greater than $600 will be reported to the IRS unless you are exempt. Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana will report your rebate as income to you on IRS Form 1099 unless you have checked corporation or exempt status above. You are urged to consult your tax advisor concerning the taxability of rebates. Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana is not responsible for any taxes that may be imposed on your business as a result of your receipt of this rebate. Environmental Attributes: Customer agrees to transfer to Vectren all Environmental Attributes attributable to the Energy Efficiency Projects or its operation. Environmental Attributes include any and all credits, benefits, emissions reductions, offsets and allowances, howsoever entitled, resulting from the avoidance of the emission of any substance to the air, soil or water at or by Vectren generating facilities through reduced generation of energy or other savings or offsets on account of the Energy Efficiency Project(s). Customer will not claim ownership of any Environmental Attributes. As long as Customer at the same time states the Energy Efficiency Project(s) was made possible with funding from Vectren, Customer may claim that it is facilitating the production of the Environmental Attributes attributable to the Energy Efficiency Project(s). Contractor Instructions: Verify that customer s electric utility at the installation address is Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana service rate This form has no cash value.
