Information and Itinerary PLEASE read this information completely, and bring it with you on the trip. Be sure to copy down the phone numbers and other information that your family would need to contact you in case of an emergency. All times are subject to change as announced on the trip. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE ON TIME AND KNOW ALL INFORMATION ANNOUNCED. Students must have all required forms completed to be on the trip. Students will report to the same bus for all trips. DEPARTURE INFORMATION Bring all suitcases to the auditorium upon arrival at school on Thursday, April 28, 2016 or before 12:00pm noon. Be sure that your name and address appear on all luggage and instrument cases. TRAVEL ATTIRE You are on this trip as a representative of our music department, your school, and your community. Neat, comfortable clothing should be worn for bus travel on Friday. Concert dress will be worn all day Saturday. Casual clothing for the Medieval Times Dinner is appropriate. Students wearing clothing deemed inappropriate by the chaperones will be asked to change clothing. BEHAVIOR Students are expected to conduct themselves with class and maturity at all times. Students are expected to follow all regulations and instructions contained in the Student Contract, the Code of Student Behavior listed in the 2015-2016 State College Area High School Student Handbook, and also all regulations and instructions announced by the directors and chaperones during the trip. Chaperones will be on duty at all times to meet students needs and enforce these rules and regulations. Students knowing of any potential rule infractions are encouraged to bring their concerns to a chaperone s attention with the assurance of anonymity, if desired. PARKING AT SCHOOL Students and chaperones leaving cars in the Senior High parking lot should place a sign on the dash indicating that you are on this trip. Try to park under the lights in the spots closest to the bus lane. PARENTS: When picking up students at the end of the trip, please do not park along curb in bus lane. The coach buses will need the open curb for unloading luggage and passengers. Thank you. PAGE 2

THINGS TO BRING Instruments and needed accessories Money for lunch (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) Concert Choir robe and music folder Concert Tuxedos, Cummerbund, White Shirt, and Bow Tie Black shoes and socks Concert Dresses Coat (Temperatures may range from 50's to 70's! (Current forecast is high of 58.) Swimsuit Cameras, ipods, etc, may be brought at your own risk. Refillable water bottle (optional) VIRTUALLY ALL STORES AND RESTAURANTS IN CENTRAL TORONTO ACCEPT BOTH U.S. AND CANADIAN CURRENCY. If you pay for your purchase with USD, you are likely to receive Canadian currency as change. You my bring an ATM card which will give you the best exchange rate. You will receive Canadian currency from the ATM. As to how mushc money to bring, that depends on your spending habits. ITINERARY THURSDAY, APRIL 28 LUGGAGE DROP- OFF 8:00am - 12:00pm Luggage Drop- Off at High School Auditorium Bring all suitcases to the auditorium labeled with NAME & ADDRESS School administrators and security will inspect all items. Once dropped off, access to your luggage is limited until it is loaded on the bus Carry- ons & instruments will be inspected Friday morning prior to loading buses FRIDAY, APRIL 29 DEPARTURE 5:45 AM ARRIVE and Report to North Auditorium 6:00 AM Group Meeting 6:20 AM Begin loading buses. Specific instructions will be given. All luggage, carry- on bags, and instrument cases MUST have Proper ID Label Prior to loading buses ALL Carry- on luggage and instrument cases will be inspected by school administrators, security, head chaperone, and/or music directors Chaperones will assist with loading buses and walk aisles of the auditorium looking potentially left behind items Students and Chaperones must have their U.S. Passport or Birth Certificate copies with them on the coach 7:15 AM LEAVE FOR TORONTO!!! 11:15 AM Arrive in Buffalo, NY for Lunch at the Walden Galleria Mall http://www.waldengalleria.com/ 12:15 PM Board Buses and continue travel to Toronto includes Border Crossing 2:30PM ARRIVAL TIME IN TORONTO IS DEPENDENT ON TIME AT THE BORDER CROSSING OTHERWISE, THERE IS TIME FOR SIGHT- SEEING (ON FOOT IN SMALL GROUPS) UNTIL DINNER 4:15PM MEET CHAPERONES AT HARD ROCK CAFÉ TORONTO 6:00 PM BOARD BUSES - PROCEED TO HOTEL FOR CHECK- IN AND EVENING HOTEL TIME 10:00PM POOL CLOSES HOTEL QUIET TIME BEGINS 10:30 PM Room Checks 11:00 PM Lights Out! SUNDAY, MAY 1 - NIAGARA FALLS / TRAVEL DAY 7:30 AM Breakfast at the hotel - Room location(s) to be announced 8:30 AM Be ready to check out! Stay outside your room so that your chaperones can check your room and receive your room keys. Once you have been cleared by your chaperone, please immediately take your luggage to the coaches. Chaperones take all keys to the Registration Desk. Mr. Leskowicz will already have checked on any additional charges that may need to be paid by students and/or chaperones. 9:00 AM Load Coaches 9:15 AM Depart for Niagara Falls 11:00 AM Lunch and Sight- seeing in Niagara Falls Arrive in Niagara Falls. The length of our stop here will depend entirely on the weather. We will assume that it will be a nice day. You will have ample time to visit some of the sites andn get lunch. We will NOT be stopping for dinner so this is your last opportunity to eat. You may want to pick up snacks for the coach. Students and Chaperones must have their U.S. Passport or Birth Certificate copies with them on the coach 12:30 PM Depart for State College Area High School U.S. / Canada Border Crossing 6:00 PM Arrive at State College Area High School. Have rides waiting please! Clean up buses Everyone needs to assist in getting instruments/equipment/trophies returned to the rehearsal rooms. Reminder to parents: please use side large parking lot.
