Help Desk x48889 (909-558-8008) can give suggestions on how to add needed components to your home computer; however, these may impact other applications you currently have installed. Please understand that we cannot be responsible for your home computer. If Help Desk is unable to help you set up the VPN, you may wish to have computer looked at and upgraded by a PC specialist. Documentation on how to connect is provided, but support beyond that is not.

Mac Citrix Installation 1. If you are planning to use the VPN to access Clinical Applications such as LLEAP or Impax, proceed with this Citrix installation. If not, skip down to the Remote Desktop Installation below. 2. Navigate to www.citrix.com. Click on the Downloads link at the top of the screen: 2. On the next page, select the option for Citrix Receiver: 3. Click on the download button that shows up on the next page (Note that the version number may differ): 4. You will be prompted to agree to the software license, and then download the Citrix installation file. Once downloaded, run the file, and follow the on screen prompts to install the software. If prompted to enter in a work email or server address, go ahead and press Cancel on that window. Mac Remote Desktop Installation 1. If you have been assigned a personal computer at the Medical Center and need to remote into it, follow these steps. If not, proceed to the Initial Installation section below. 2. Open the App Store and search for Microsoft Remote Desktop. 3. Click on the Free option: 4. Click the Install App to install the software:

5. Once the download has completed, navigate to the Applications folder via Launchpad or through the Macintosh HD: 6. Double click on the Microsoft Remote Desktop application. Once the application opens, click on the New button at the top: 7. In the Connection Name field, enter your computer s hostname. This is usually something like: MC0xxxxx. Also enter the same hostname in the PC Name field: 8. Once completed, close the Edit Remote Desktops window, and you should now see your computer listed under the My Desktops section. Double click on the computer s host name to start the connection: 9. If a Verify Certificate window comes up, click on Continue: 10. If successful, a prompt will come up asking you to log into your computer here at work. Log in like you would normally do when on site.

Mac Initial Installation 1. Launch the SecureAuth-OTP application so that you can see the six digit authentication code. We will need it later in this insallation process. 2. Open Safari and enter navigate to https://anyconnect.llumc.edu/mc 3. Enter your Medical Center user name and password in the proper fields. The 6-digit Passcode is the number being shown by the SecureAuth OTP app. Once you have entered the information in the corresponding fields, click Login: 4. Click Continue on the terms of connection security banner to proceed: If you have Java proceed to step 5. If you do not have Java skip to step 12 5. AnyConnect will begin checking the computer state, click yes to allow the Java process to control the install if you click No, skip to step 12: 6. If the following warning window opens, click Trust: 7. If the following Java window opens, select Run:

8. If the process above fails to download the installation file, the following screen will come up. Click on the link that says: Mac OS X 10.6+ (Intel): 9. Locate the install package in Downloads and launch it to begin the install. Enter your MAC credentials when prompte: 10. Once the installation is complete, select Close: 11. Click the magnifying glass in the menu bar again and look for Cisco AnyConnect. Click on the application, Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client:

12. You will need to type in https://anyconnect.llumc.edu/mc in to the blank field, then select Connect: 13. Right click on the Cisco Anyconnect application in the dock and select Keep in dock to make connecting in the future easier. This can be done for both Cisco AnyConnect and SecureAuth OTP clients. 14. The LLUMC VPN landing page should open automatically in your browser. If you would like to use Clinical Applications such as LLEAP or IMPAX, you can click on the Citrix nfuse link at the top: 15. If it does not, open Safari and type in the following address: http://ctxweb.mc.ad.lluahsc.org. Mac Subsequent Use 1. To begin the AnyConnect process, launch the SA OTP client if it is not already running. If it is not in your dock, use the magnifying glass in the menu bar to search for it. 2. Click the magnifying glass in the menu bar again and look for Cisco AnyConnect. Click on the application, Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client: 3. If the address is not auto-populated in the AnyConnect application, type in the address bar https://anyconnect.llumc.edu then press connect. Enter your Medical Center user name, password and the 6-digit passcode generated by the SecureAuth OTP app, then click OK:

4. Click Accept on the terms of connection security banner to proceed: 5. Wait while the connection is established. Once successful, you will see a green check mark in the AnyConnect application and a gold lock over the app in the dock: 6. When the connection is established, you should see the LLUMC VPN landing page: Mac Disconnecting Session 1. To disconnect, click on the Disconnect button in the application: 2. Another option is to click the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client icon on the menu bar and select Disconnect:

Windows Citrix Installation 1. Before using any clinical applications (LLEAP, IMPAX, etc.), you will need to install the Citrix ICA Client. If you already have the Citrix client installed, skip to the Windows Intitial Installation section. 2. To install Citrix open your internet browser and navigate to www.citrix.com. Click on the Downloads link at the top of the screen: 2. On the next page, select the option for Citrix Receiver: 3. Click on the download button that shows up on the next page (Note that the version number may differ): 4. You will be prompted to agree to the software license, and then RUN or SAVE the Citrix installation file. Once downloaded, follow the on screen prompts to install the software. Windows Remote Desktop Installation 1. If you have been assigned a personal computer at the Medical Center and need to remote into it, follow these steps. 2. Windows computers already computers already come with the Remote Desktop application installed. To start using it, open the start menu and search for Remote Desktop Connection or mstsc.exe. 3. Start the application and when prompted, enter in your computer s host name:

4. When prompted for your credentials, enter in your computer or LLEAP or email username and password: If a certificate error opens, continue past the error. Windows Initial Installation 1. Open Internet Explorer and navigate to https://anyconnect.llumc.edu/mc Enter your Medical Center User name and password. The 6-digit Passcode is the number on the token you set up following the document SecureAuthOTP- AllDevices.pdf. Once you have entered the information in the corresponding fields, click Login: 2. Click Continue on the terms of connection security banner to proceed:

3. The windows will change and AnyConnect will begin checking the computer status, click Install at the bottom of the window: 4. Click Install to install the AnyConnect software: 5. If the above download fails, the following screen will come up. To start the download manually, click on the Windows Desktop link: 6. Wait while the software is installed. Once complete, it should launch the software automatically. If it doesn t, navigate to your Start menu, click on All Programs or All Applications, navgiate to the Cisco folder, and then click on Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client:

7. If the connection is not establish automatically, you will see the AnyConnect box in the lower right corner. The box will most likely be empty. You will need to type in https://anyconnect.llumc.edu/mc in to the blank field, then select Connect: 8. You will be prompted for your user name, password and a 6-digit passcode: 9. You will need to click Continue on the security banner: 10. When a successful connection is established, you will see the following box near your system tray: 11. The LLUMC VPN landing page should open automatically in your browser. If you would like to use Clinical Applications such as LLEAP or IMPAX, you can click on the Citrix nfuse link at the top: 12. If it does not, open Internet Explorer and type in the following address: http://ctxweb.mc.ad.lluahsc.org.

Windows Subsequent Use 7. To Start AnyConnect, click the Start button, select All Programs, select the Cisco program folder, then select Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client: 8. The following window will open. Click Connect to begin: 9. Enter your Medical Center credentials and the 6-digit passcode (OTP) generated by the SecureAuth OTP app: 10. Click Accept on the terms of connection security banner to proceed: 11. Wait while the VPN connection established:

12. When the connection is established, you should see the LLUMC VPN landing page: Windows Disconnecting Session 1. Click the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client icon on the Status bar and then click on VPN Disconnect: 2. An alternate method to disconnect would be to click on the Disconnect button:
