Camp Descriptions DAY CAMP Features both full- and half-day enrollment options for younger players as well as older, more experienced players. Focused on accelerating development of technical skills learned within the game through smallgroup playing opportunities. ADVANCED RESIDENTAL CAMP Residential camp geared to experienced players who want to rise to the next level. 360-degree instruction weaving individual technical skills into the fabric of match-based team tactics. Individually-focused morning sessions serve as foundation of competitive playing opportunities in the afternoon and evening. ELITE CAMP Residential camp geared to elite, high school-age players who aim to play in college. Team and individual enrollment encouraged. Training sessions tailored to high level team play. SOCCER CAMP INFORMATION - T-shirt, Ball, and Water Bottle o Campers will receive one of each o NOTE: ALL SHIRTS ARE IN ADULT SIZES ONLY! PLEASE CHECK ONLINE REGISTRATION DETAILS TO ENSURE PROPER SIZING. o Campers should make sure name is written on soccer ball and water bottles. - Entrance o All visitors 16 and over must present a valid ID to enter West Point. o Please anticipate and plan accordingly for all luggage to be inspected prior to admittance on to West Point. o All camp visitors and residents are to enter through Stony Lonesome Gate and proceed to A-LOT. - Parking and Shuttle Details o All vehicles will park in A-LOT or designated parking areas. *Signs will be posted to direct to your specific sport camp check-in location.* o Day Camp Check-In: Park at A-LOT, walk to the Foley Center. o Residential/Advanced Residential Camp Check-In: Park at A-LOT, vans will take campers and parents to the dormitories to unpack. - Commuter Camper Drop-off (Residential Camps ONLY) o North Athletic Fields (NAF) o Campers check-in at 8:45am with assigned counselor EACH morning. o Campers check-out at 8:15pm after evening games. - Soccer Facilities o Clinton Fields, North Athletic Fields, Rugby Turf, Foley Center, and Shea Turf 3
- Athletic Training/Medical Coverage Information o All summer campers will have access to Athletic Training Services. Emergency medical services will be available through Keller Army Community Hospital. All Campers need to have valid health insurance (not provided by your school) in order to participate in each camp session. NO EXCEPTIONS. - Dormitory/Barracks o All overnight campers are housed and supervised in SHERMAN BARRACKS operated by the United States Military Academy. o - Rules and Regulations o All campers are required to comply with the Army Summer Camp guidelines which are established to ensure personal safety, hygiene and property damage prevention. Rules and expectations are discussed during the start of each session and are posted inside the dormitory. Any camper found to be disruptive and unwilling to follow behavioral guidelines will be sent home without a refund - Camper Dining o Campers dine at Kimsey Center (Day Camp) & Eisenhower Hall (Overnight Camp): very visible and prominent locations on campus. o Day Campers-----must bring their own lunch. o Residential Campers-----expected to arrive having eaten lunch on the first day.** -First Meal served to your camper will be dinner. -Campers are served breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. -On the last day of camp, campers only eat breakfast. Your children will be well-fed at camp. If choosing to send snacks with them, we ask that these snacks be limited in quantity and be healthy in nature, as past experiences have shown that young campers tend to overindulge. Campers have the opportunity to purchase snack items from Grant Hall on a cash only basis with permission/supervision from camp staff. - Cancellations o All refunds must be approved by the Camp Director. Refunds are processed on a case by case basis. You will be notified once a final decision has been made regarding any refund. 4
BOYS SOCCER PACKING LIST ITEMS TO BRING FANS- Barracks are NOT Air Conditioned Plenty of athletic t-shirts Plenty of athletic shorts at an appropriate length for activity Plenty of soccer socks (estimate more than 1 pair per day), underwear, etc. Small gym bag Soccer Cleats (turf shoes are not necessary, but allowed) Shin Guards/Goalkeeper Gloves (if applicable) Bathing Suits (if preferred, for showers in barracks) Flip-flops for showers Sneakers ( flats ) Sweatshirts Sheets (twin bed) or sleeping bag Pillow Towel(s) Toiletry items: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc Few extra plastic bags for wet clothes/shoes Sunscreen, Bug Spray Non-perishable snacks, bottled water, etc. for rooms $20-$30 in spending cash (Camp Bank to store campers money is available if desired) Parent/Guardian must have a valid form of government ID (license, passport, etc. for campers ages 16 and UP. What NOT to Bring Tobacco products, alcohol, or weapons of any kind. Inappropriate or offensive clothing. Refrigerators, microwaves, toasters, etc Cell phones may be brought, but NO camper is to be caught using their cell phone during training sessions, or while walking around campus ***FYI: NO WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY IN BARRACKS*** WE LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU THIS SUMMER!! 5
