PCV123D Terminal Unit and DGM1D 1-Door Controller + Contactless Smartcard Reader Version 2.0 G00301FR0219V02 DGM1D: 1-door controller + contactless smartcard reader PCV123D: Terminal unit + PC software DGM1D Presentation General The DGM1D is a 1-door controller and contactless smartcard reader that manages up to 30 Trade & Service and unlimited cardholders. Each Trade & service account has a unique code which is loaded on the controller with the PCV123D terminal built-in smartcard reader. The date, hour validity is programmed on the Trade & Service badges and/or on the software. The DGM1D controller manages cardholders and master keys. The DGM1D controller is programmed with a PCV123D terminal unit. The default site code is: 000000 and the PCV123D terminal unit password is: 0000. It is recommended to change the default site code for security reason and to enter a 6-digit site code The compact size of the controller and the vandal resistant fireproof of the reader has made this contactless smartcard system very innovative and very simple to install. The other important innovation is the procedure to program a contactless smartcard, which is being done on the card and not on the controller as all the system on the marker. This way the installer saves precious time by the capability to program the badges and new badges from his office without having to go on the site. PC software: Login name: supervisor password: 1234 System description A complete system includes a DGM1D controller + reader and the PCV123D Terminal unit to program the system. Features of the controller The DGM1D is a 1-door stand alone access control system. The controller is compatible with Mifare cards and badges. The controller can be connected three different modes: - 1 RS232 comm. port to connect a PCV123D terminal unit (JP3 jumper on and RS232 cable to connect on J1) - A wireless connection with the reader (remove JP3 jumper). The wireless communication is done between the reader and the terminal unit. - Connection to a reader controller from the network system: The DGM1D is then switched from a stand alone system to a network reader (remove JP2 jumper). The relay output is disabled for the cardholders. The same site code can be programmed on many controllers. The site code can be changed with the PCV123D terminal unit via the RS232 or wireless connection (JP1 jumper on). The cardholders badges can be enabled or disabled with the JP2 jumper. PCV123D Features The terminal unit has many purposes: - Management of the Trade & Service accounts - Reads smartcard - Manages the controllers via RS232 connection or wireless communication with reader - Enrollment and identification of the cardholders badges and master keys - Capability to manage the site from a PC JP1 : site code JP2 : cardholders JP3 :RS232 mode Badge enrollment unit Set the Date & Hour on the controller Set the date & hour of the controller on a new installation with the PCV123D terminal unit. When removing or replacing a battery make sure the «controller is not powered» when the battery is replaced insert tag protection. Remove the tag protection while the controller is powered; Set the date and the hour with the PCV123D Terminal unit. 2

Add or Modify a Trade & Service code in the controller The Trade & Service card comes in a smartcard format which enclose a unique code. Besides, the cardholders that can be programmed, up to 30 Trade & service unique codes could be programmed in the controller. The Trade & Services cardholders have access to the buildings at specific hours and dates. A Trade & Service account to get access to a building need to add the code in the controller. In the terminal unit, select «add service» menu, then insert the smartcard for the Trade & Service account you wish to create in the controller. Badges for the Trade & Service can be issued. This Trade & Service account is stored in the terminal unit database. It will be possible to add this Trade & Service account in other controller without the need to have the smartcard code of that Trade & Service. The access rights can be modified by the supervisor with the Terminal unit in «Modification» menu. The supervisor can modify or delete a Trade & Service account without the smartcard. The terminal unit can memorise up to 30 Trade & Service accounts. PC software The terminal unit can store up to 15 different sites (15 DGM1D). The Trade & Service account list can be transferred from the terminal unit to the PC software. The Trade & Service account list can be transferred from the PC software to the Terminal unit and then transferred to a DGM1D controller. Badges 3 access level badge types can be programmed on the PCV123D: Cardholder badges are programmed with the PCV123D Terminal Unit from the Enrollment badge menu. To activate a badge, the site code of the controller must be programmed on the badge. The site code is defined with a 5-digit + a 6th digit from 0 to 9. Cardholder badges can be programmed to grant access to a gate. To program the cardholder badges for the second reader only, the site code of this reader should be entered as follow : 5-digit + 6th digit E. Master keys are programmed with the PCV123D Terminal Unit from the Enrollment badge menu. The master keys have access to all sites (reader/door) which have the same 5 first digit and the 6th digit from 0 to 9. The site code for the master key should be programmed 5-digit + 6th digit F Site code controller # 1 to 10 controller for the gate Badges 1door+gate 5-digit + 0 to 9 one yes Badges gate 5-digit + E Only Master keys 5-digit + F all 10 readers yes Deleting cardholder badges and master keys To delete a cardholder badge or a master key, the code of the proximity card must be programmed on the reader (controller) with the PCV123D Terminal unit. It is possible to connect the PCV123D Terminal unit to the controller with an RS232 cable or with the RF transmitter. Select «Blacklist» menu in the PCV123D Terminal unit then add in blacklist menu.
