The Alzheimer s Support Group at St. Francis Home meets the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. The group s purpose is to provide educational and social opportunities and an avenue for group sharing for persons who are coping with a loved one with Alzheimer s disease and other dementia. Friends and family with a loved one with Alzheimer s disease or other dementia - whether they are living at home or in a care facility - are always welcome to attend support group meetings at St. Francis Home. Many who attend support group meetings find them to be helpful because they learn that there are others in the same situation. They heard how others have coped or are coping with similar situations. By sharing and learning from others experiences, they find it easier to work through issues and make decisions regarding their loved one.
