Sunday, November 8 (2-4 pm) Straw Bale House Tour behind the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center located at 194 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, OH Tours are held on the 2 nd Sunday of the month during the fall and winter at Little Portion Green. You can also enjoy a home cooked brunch using local foods at Little Portion Green for a free will donation on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Tuesday, November 10 (10:30-11:30am) International Low Vision Support Group Webcast at St. Francis Home, Multipurpose Room, 182 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, OH. Thursday, November 12 (7:00-8:00pm) Alzheimer's Support Group at St. Francis Home, Multipurpose Room, 182 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, OH. The Alzheimer s Support Group at St. Francis Home meets the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. The group s purpose is to provide educational and social opportunities and an avenue for group sharing for persons who are coping with a loved one with Alzheimer s disease and other dementia. Friends and family with a loved one with Alzheimer s disease or other dementia - whether they are living at home or in a care facility - are always welcome to attend support group meetings at St. Francis Home. Many who attend support group meetings find them to be helpful because they learn that there are others in the same situation. They heard how others have coped or are coping with similar situations. By sharing and learning from others experiences, they find it easier to work through issues and make decisions regarding their loved one.
