In resort, one of our local wedding planners and Thomson Holiday Advisors will also be assigned to you, taking care of everything while you re there. Our standard wedding packages offer all the key things you need for a wonderful wedding day. DOCUMENTS AND TRANSLATIONS Your wedding coordinator will help you with all the paperwork required to get married abroad. We ll also arrange translations of any compulsory documents before you travel and you ll receive two international marriage certificates once your wedding has taken place. 5

The lake is just a short drive from Romeo and Juliet s romantic Verona and is dotted with medieval villages, pretty fishing harbours, colourful piazzas and story-book castles. LAKESIDE CASTLE For a ceremony within a beautiful Della Scala castle setting, you have a choice of: The intimate TORRI DEL BENACO CASTLE, in the south of Lake Garda, for up to 20 people. The impressive MALCESINE CASTLE, perched on a headland in the north of the lake. Torri del Benaco is great for small ceremonies - up to 20 people - and takes place at the top of the tower. For large groups, wed al fresco in the lemon groves within the castle grounds, with room for up to 100 guests. Weddings in Malcesine Castle are outdoors for larger parties up to 100. The ceremony happens on the terrace that overlooks the lake. ON THE DAY Whatever location you choose, a car will take you to and from your Lake Garda hotel. An Italian translator is present throughout the ceremony, and after you ve tied the knot you can wander through the cobbled streets for photographs or take to the water with your wedding party for a celebratory lake cruise in the summer sunshine. Your Reception HERE IS A LIST OF OUR FAVOURITE RESTAURANTS ON LAKE GARDA PERFECT FOR THE RECEPTION AND RAISING A GLASS WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. HOTEL DU PARC, GARDA Situated in a magnificent bay, 100 metres from the centre of Garda - the hotel is a renovated 18th century villa surrounded by a large garden. There is a terrace where you can enjoy a romantic dinner in the evening and it is possible to have a DJ or live music there until 11.30pm. If you would like to arrive by boat, the hotel has its own jetty from the garden. In case of bad weather the hotel has 2 beautiful inside rooms with capacity for 35 to 90 people. RISTORANTE DEL PORTO, TORRI DEL BENACO Just a few minutes from the castle this excellent restaurant is situated on the lakeside of Torri del Benaco. An elegant restaurant with a high standard of food, there s outside seating for up to 50 people on the terrace that lies over the water and a piano bar with comfy seating that your guests can use following the meal. VECCHIA, MALCESINE A 5-minute walk from the centre of Malcesine, this Michelin starred restaurant has an intimate internal restaurant and an external covered terrace with lake views. The terrace or restaurant can be reserved for your wedding party of 40-80 people, otherwise a table can be reserved for a smaller number. When the terrace is booked exclusively for your group, we can arrange live music or a DJ too. LA PACE RESTAURANT, MALCESINE La Pace is on the lakefront, in the heart of Malcesine.. Family-run, the informal restaurant has excellent Italian home cooking. Your reception can take place indoors, or on the outdoor terrace and is suitable for groups of 30-40 people. HOTEL GARDESANA, TORRI DEL BENACO This hotel and restaurant is situated opposite the castle with an enviable position overlooking the lake and is ideal for wedding parties looking for a venue to hold their wedding reception. Slovenia LAKE BLED WEDDING FROM 2,514 LAKE BLED Lake Bled is a beautiful place to start celebrating your life together. The lake and its picturesque island, with a backdrop of the impressive Julian Alps, provide a fairytale setting for your special day. 15
Wedding In Bled, you re spoilt for choice with wedding venues. You can choose the beautiful lakeside registry office, the majestic castle standing high above the lake, or the charming little church on Bled Island. BLED REGISTRY OFFICE Bled Registry Office is set within the municipal building, converted from an attractive old villa. It has a picturesque location right on the lakeside, set within its own parkland. ON THE DAY It s all about the tradition here - you ll be taken to the registry office by horse and carriage and the ceremony will be conducted in Slovenian while being translated into English. After the ceremony, you ll take the horse and carriage around the lake and meet your guests at the boat bay for a trip across to Bled Island. You and your witnesses can then climb the 99 steps to the island s church where you ll ring the wishing bell - the town s romantic custom for all newly weds. BLED CHURCH The Church of Assumption of the Virgin Mary is an idyllic location for your blessing and an iconic part of Slovenian culture. The church is on a tiny island, surrounded by the sparkling waters that define Lake Bled. It s an amazing spot for photos. ON THE DAY You ll go by horse and carriage to your civil ceremony in Bled s registry office. You ll leave there a married couple and go on a parade around the lake in your carriage until you reach the boat bay where you ll meet the rest of your guests. From there it s a boat ride across to the church on Bled Island where a blessing will take place. And to bring you luck for your life together, you can ring the church s bell. BLED CASTLE Bled Castle is a truly magical venue for your wedding. Its baroque architecture has been a prominent feature of Bled for centuries. Perched on top of a cliff, this venue has impressive views of the lake and the Julian Alps beyond no better backdrop for your first photos of married life. ON THE DAY You and your two witnesses will be taken to the castle where you ll be greeted by the Count of Bled and his medieval companions for a truly traditional experience. You ll then be led to the Knights Hall where your wedding ceremony will take place, officiated in Slovenian and translated into English. After the ceremony, you ll meet your guests at the boat bay for a boat ride across to Bled island. Ring the bell at the picturesque church and get some amazing photos on the island. RESTAURANT MAYER A rustic place with lots of local character and a warm atmosphere. The restaurant is in the centre of Bled, next to the Hotel Golf. This restaurant is great for groups of 25 to 40 people. RESTAURANT VILA PRESEREN The restaurant is on the lakeshore, below the castle and near the church in Lake Bled. It s got a modern feel and fits groups of up to 28 people. LAKE BLED CASTLE RESTAURANT Enjoy the views over Lake Bled in this romantic setting. The castle s restaurant can cater for large groups of up to 60 inside but there s also a large terrace that can accommodate many more. GRAND HOTEL TOPLICE In the Grand Hotel Toplice there is a selection of à la carte restaurants to choose from. The Juliana Restaurant is suitable for small groups of up to 12 people. It s got a view of the lake plus a small terrace. The Panorama Restaurant is for medium sized groups of 20 to 30 people. Larger groups of 30 or more can be accommodated in the Grand Restaurant. HOTEL PARK For the Hotel Park, we usually organise the festive dinner in the Kavarna à la carte restaurant which is located across the road from the Hotel Park on the lakeshore. Austria KITZBÜHEL KITZBÜHEL WEDDING FROM 941 The lively, cosmopolitan, medieval town of Kitzbühel is filled with stylish boutiques, restaurants and bars, but keeps its traditional Tirolean charm. The Hahnekamm mountain and the traditional coloured buildings will be your backdrop, making Kitzbühel an unusual setting in a special location. The historical registry office is located in Kitzbühel s old town centre, making it an ideal setting for saying I do. There ll also be plenty of activities such as cycling, walking and white water rafting for you and your guests to get stuck in to. 25
