Managing your MrSite account Welcome to MrSite we re sure you re going to have lots of success with your website, whatever you want to achieve. If you ever need to manage your account, you just need to go to www.mrsite.co.uk/login. This will take you to your main Account Centre page. In Account Centre you can: Manage your different Mr Site website packages Manage your domain names View any payments you have made to MrSite Renew your packages and domain names Read messages the MrSite team have sent, for example about any exciting updates The MrSite credit system Credits make it easier for you to buy those great add-ons and extras for your site that will help you get the most from being online things like extra web space, extra domain names or coming soon - exclusive themes and widgets. Rather than entering in your credit card details every time you want to make even a small purchase, you can buy a bundle of credits and use those until it s time to top up again. It s a bit like the ease of having a top-up phone! You can see how many credits you ve got left when you log into your MrSite account. To buy more credits, go to Shop and Get MrSite credits. Every MrSite credit is worth 1p so 100 are worth 1, 1000 credits are worth 10 and so on. If you re buying something extra for your site, like a domain name, we ll also show you how much the domain costs in sterling. Logging in When you first log in, you need to enter your registered email address as your user name and your activation code as your password. Your activation code is case-sensitive. Editing your personal details and password When you re logged in, click on your email address, which you will see at the top right of your screen. Click Personal details and then fill in or change your chosen details. You can edit your password here. Want to work on your website? To get to your website from your Account Centre: Click Build my website from the drop-down menu at the top of your screen Select your website. If you have multiple MrSite websites, they will all appear and you can just select the one you want to work on. To get back to your account when you re working on the site, click Account Centre.
Activating a new package If you ve got a few MrSite websites, you want to be able to manage them all from one place. When you buy a new package, then we ll give you your activation code to get started. In your Account Centre, you ll see a box asking if you need to activate a new website package. Click Activate and enter your code - remember it s case sensitive. You ll now see your new package showing in your list of websites. Manage account Here you can view all your website packages and domains. Click Manage account to see the full menu. Websites In this tab you can see all your website packages, how long is left on them before you need to renew and which domains are associated with your website(s). Click More info and you ll see a variety of options for managing your website: Change nickname: Click here to change how this package is displayed in your Account Centre this is useful if you have two packages which are the same (for example, two Pro Seller 12-month contracts) and you want to be able to easily tell them apart. Enter the new name and click Save. Renew You ll see how many days you ve got left on your package. To renew your package, click Renew. Then either select Renew or Renew with credits. Downloaded widgets Here you can see what widgets you have added to your package. Storefront customers can get new widgets by going to the Marketplace click Build your website, followed by the Themes and widgets tab. Select Find more themes and then click the Widgets tab to see all those available. Webspace Here you can see how much webspace is left on your website. Manage domains To manage the domains associated with this website, click manage domains and see the instructions below. Domains Domains is another way of saying website address for example, MrSite s main domain is www.mrsite.com. Some people have a few domains all pointing towards the same website so when a visitor types in any of their domains, they get taken to the same website.
Here, you can see all the domains that Mr Site hosts for you, as well as which of your website packages they are associated with. If you have any domains with other providers, they can also be viewed here. You ll see these options beside each domain name: Website This is the website that the domain is pointing towards. Move If you ve bought an extra domain and want to point it towards one of your MrSite websites, select the relevant website package from the drop-down menu and then click Go. Please note, it normally takes between 24 and 48 hours for the domain to be moved over. MrSite Hosted This is ticked if MrSite hosts the domain name - if you have a domain with another company that points towards your MrSite website, this box will not be ticked. Live This shows whether your domain is pointing towards a website live on the web. Expiry This shows when your domain name is due to expire. Renew To renew your domain name, click here. You ll only be able to renew domains when they re within 6 months of expiry. View DNS DNS is how the name of your website (ie. www.mrsite.com) is turned into it s IP address, which is the address where your hosting provider stores your website s content - basically the longitude and latitude of your site on the internet. You probably won t ever have to edit your DNS settings, but if you want to host your emails with a different provider, then you might be asked for this information. Own a domain name with another provider? If you own a domain name with another provider and want to point it towards a MrSite website, it s easy to do so. Click the Add domain alias button. Enter the domain name and click Save. You ll now see it listed with your other do- Payments Here you can view and print any receipts for payments you ve made to MrSite, set up renewing payments for your packages and see how you ve spent your MrSite credits. Click Payments to reveal all these options: Receipts Receipts for any payments you ve made to MrSite, such as purchased packages, credits or domain names will be shown here. To view and print the full invoice, click View. Credit history Here you can see a history of any credits you have purchased or been given free by MrSite, as well as what you have spent your credits on (for example, if you bought an extra domain name).
Subscriptions When you buy a MrSite package, you can choose to set up a subscription for your website. If you don t want the worry of remembering when you need to renew your website, domain name or widget, we d recommend that you set up a MrSite subscription. it means that MrSite will automatically take the payment from your card when it s time for you to renew your package. To set up a subscription, check the box beside the relevant package and then enter your card details. Click Save subscriptions. Of course, we will contact you a week in advance to let your know that your renewal is coming up so you can cancel your subscription if you wish to. Changing your card details and problems with subscriptions To change your registered card details, click Update details and then fill in the details of your new card. If you re having a problem with your subscription for example if the payment isn t going through - then that might be because your card has expired. We d also recommend that you check that there are sufficient funds in your account. If a subscription payment doesn t go through, then the system will temporarily cancel your subscription. Click Manage my packages and then renew next to the relevant package to make the payment. Next, to turn your subscription back on, click Payments and then Subscriptions. Tick the packages you want to set up a subscription for and click Save subscriptions. Messages Here you can read any messages MrSite has sent to you please note that when the support team sends you a message, this will be directly to your email account. When you get sent a new message from the team, you ll see a notification in your Account Centre. New You ll see a notification in your account home screen if you ve got a new message from MrSite. You can read them here. Read Previous messages that MrSite has sent you will be stored here. Shop If you want to get some extras for your site, then here s the place to do it. Get Mr Site credits Here you can buy extra credits for your website. Select how many credits you want, then click Checkout this will take you through to our secure payment pages. When your payment has been completed, you ll see the new credits available in your main Account Centre page. MrSite add-ons If you d like an extra domain name or perhaps some extra web-space, you can buy that here. Select which website package you d like your add-on to apply to and then select what you wish to purchase. If you re getting a new domain name, type in the chosen address and the system will see if it s free. Click Confirm order and then either click Checkout and fill in your card details, or select Pay with credits.
