LIFT PASSES We are able to issue pre-booked passes at the chalet which are handed to you ready to use on your arrival in the resort saving you the time of queuing at the lift pass offices. Our prices are identical to the prices in resort so you will not pay any more for the convenience and on some weeks we will be able to offer you a discount that you can t get anywhere else. Carte Neige insurance is available at a supplement if required - at 2.80 Euros per adult per day, 2.40 Euros per child per day although this does not replace proper holiday insurance. Free and Subsidised Passes Children under 6 years old are free of charge and adults over 72 years have much cheaper rates (10 euros for 1 to 15 days and 30 euros for 15+ days). If you would like us to provide free or subsidised passes, then we will require a copy of the passport and passport photo in advance (this can be scanned and emailed). SKI SCHOOL Oxygene Ski School Oxygene Ski School are an international renowned ski school who have been established for many years in La Plagne and have an excellent reputation for the quality of their lessons with a focus on a fun teaching method. Their instructors all speak excellent English. They are a family run business with over 80 instructors and therefore are big enough to operate all levels of classes every week but still have the personal care to make sure every guest is happy with their holiday. Private lessons can be shared between several people but all those taking part must be at the same level and it is not possible to combine adults and children as teaching methods are very different. Lessons are priced for 1 or 2 people and an hourly supplement of 7 euros is payable for each additional person, except where specified otherwise in the price table. CHILD CARE NURSERY There are various crèche facilities in the different villages of La Plagne and information can be found at the tourist office website: http://www.la-plagne.com/fr/hiver/guide-station/enfants/garderie CHILD CARE PRIVATE NANNIES There are various private nanny services operating in the resort many of which are English companies with British nannies working in resort. As nanny services are a personal preference between the parents and the nanny, we prefer to leave this service to the childcare professionals and we ll leave you to discuss personally with the nanny services to choose the one you feel is most appropriate for your child. Prices for a full time nanny for a week are approximately 700 to 800 for one child the ratios of children to nannies depend on the age of the children and also the charges made for additional children vary between the companies. EQUIPMENT RENTAL We work only with the major suppliers who are able to provide top quality equipment at all levels in all resorts. A basic description of the ski levels is as follows to help you select the right level for your needs: Bronze Economy Lowest price reliable equipment for the skier on a budget equipment which has been downgraded from silver and gold levels due to its age skis in their third year of use and not recommended unless you are trying to keep the costs very low. Silver Discovery (Skis and Boards) Skis designed for a beginner or low intermediate looking for easy to manage skis on the slopes and quality boots for comfort. Gold Sensation (Skis and Boards) For intermediate or advanced skiers looking to maximize their performance and ability. Equipment maximum of two years old. This level allows customers to change their equipment up to three times during the week (from Monday to Thursday) subject to availability at the shop and limited to once per day. Platinum Excellence Top quality new models plus the specialist skis such as off piste or twin tips for good skiers. High quality boots for very good support. Equipment maximum one year old. This level allows customers to change their equipment up to three times during the week (from Monday to Thursday) subject to availability at the shop and limited to once per day. MiniKid Skis for very young children up to and including five years of age ski lengths from 70cm to 90cm. Junior Espoir First level of skis for children between the age of six and eleven inclusively suitable for beginners or low intermediate levels. Ski lengths are from 100cm to 150cm equipment is a maximum of three years old. Junior Champion (Skis and Boards) High quality skis and snowboards for children aged six to eleven inclusively after they have skied a couple of weeks. The skis adapt to suit the ability and level. Lengths are between 100cm and 150cm, including race skis and twin tips as well as junior snowboards. Our discounted rates below are for service at the local shop and are for pre-bookings only. Prices are between 40% and 60% discounted from the standard public prices - depending on the level. Our prices also off you 7 days for the price of 6 days so 7 th day is free. Gold Sensation and Platinum levels allow you to change the equipment during the week to try out different skis or boards or to switch from one to the other. Please note A ski pack consists of skis, boots and poles and does NOT include a helmet which must be added separately if required. Although they are not a legal requirement in France, helmets are strongly recommended for both adults and children. -6-
