3 PRIVATE LESSONS CHILDREN S SKI SCHOOL Skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing We offer personal and individual care, rapid and remarkable success through intensive training and safe guiding on slopes and trails by our snow sports instructors. You decide what to experience and learn. We will do our best in order to meet your requests. Book your teacher as early as possible. Dates Meeting points Every day, for beginners to experts. 4 CHILDREN S SKI SCHOOL Swiss Snow League + Academy Curriculum Children and adolescents will learn skiing and/or snowboarding in a comprehensive and holistic approach. The respective test is included in group lessons of four full days or more and in private lessons of five half-days or more (incl. entry in the Swiss Snow League Booklet and medal). Snowgarden, Blue Ski Prince/Princess Classes Courses for beginners in the Kinderland (half a day or full day). Red Prince/Princess, Red King/Queen + Star (advanced): On red slope: safe turns, safe switch, carved turns, short turns, various tricks. 8 CROSS-COUNTRY SKI Group courses for adults in Sils Nowhere else will you find more fully prepared skating trails and classical ski tracks than here with us in the Engadine. Courses for adults and adolescents. Courses can be booked individually. Skating course «Beginner», Mo Explore new feelings thanks to a good rhythm of push-off and gliding. Skating «Follow up course», We Learn how to use your power in the most efficient way while keeping a good rhythm. 10 EVENTS TERMS AND CONDITIONS Children s ski and snowboard races For all children s classes, the ski school race takes place in the Kinderland every Friday morning and for all classes from Blue King/Queen and higher at Furtschellas middle station on Friday afternoon. Children s cinema in Sils Maria A special film treat for our young guests (in German). Children s films enthral your child after an exciting day of snow sports. Free of charge. Dates on Thuesdays / / / / / Meeting Point at in the house «Chesa Fonio» («Robbi-Museum») in Sils Maria Tobogganing in Sils Maria Lots of fun for everybody! The toboggan run passes through the woods and is lit up with torches. Toboggans are provided and there are fantastic prizes to be won at the prize giving ceremony under the starry sky in Sils. Free of charge. General Terms and Conditions Prices All prices are binding in Swiss Francs (CHF) incl. VAT and refer to the ski school courses. The costs for gondolas, lifts * and buses are not included in the course fee and have to be paid separately. * Any ski lift («Pinocchio» lifts, conveyors) in the Kinderland in Sils, Surlej or Maloja is free of charge. The ski lift Cristins in Surlej is subject to a charge. Children under the age of 6 do not need a ticket for the ski area. Children over the age of 6 have to purchase a valid ticket. Payment All prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF) incl. VAT. We accept cash in CHF and Euro according to the daily exchange rate of Schweizer Skischule Corvatsch AG (change in Swiss francs). We also accept MasterCard, Maestro, Postcard and Visa. Courses and Lessons The lesson will take place in all weather conditions. Groups can be combined and the duration of the course can be adjusted if there are less than 4 bookings. Groups from Sils and Surlej/Silvaplana can be combined at one or the other place. One private lesson takes 55 minutes. All guests have to bring avalanche equipment (avalanchetransceiver, shovel and probe) to every off-piste lesson. Tickets for private and group lessons, refund The course tickets for classes are not transferable. Confirmed reservations are binding. No-shows/non-compliant bookings are charged at the price agreed. Paid tickets and bookings (also online bookings) are binding and not refundable. In case of illness or accident, the ski school is willing to give a refund on production of a medical certificate by a local doctor (cf. «Refund regulations» in the ski school offices). Other incidents such as inclement weather, blocked access roads, blocked railways etc. are no reason for refund. Accidents Schweizer Skischule Corvatsch AG is not liable for any kind of accidents that happen before, during or after the lesson, during excursions, exams or races. Accident and liability insurance is the participant s responsibility

11 THIS AND THAT Questions and answers Where to rent, buy or repair equipment? You can rent and/or buy skis, snowboards, cross-country skis, boots and poles in the local sports shops. There you will also find clothes and can have the equipment repaired. We strongly advise to wear a helmet for skiing and snowboarding. We recommend good goggles or sunglasses as well as sunscreen. Do children under 6 have to buy a ski pass for the course? No. Children under 6 years do not need any ski pass, provided they are accompanied by a ski instructor. Exceptions are private operators such as the ski lift Cristins in Surlej. Do children have to pay for the lifts in the Kinderland? Participants in courses of the Schweizer Skischule Corvatsch AG do not have to pay for the lifts in the Kinderland in Silvaplana and Sils as well as the exercising area in Maloja. What happens to my several-day ski pass after an accident? Bring your ski pass to the next bottom station immediately after the accident. There you will be informed about whether you will get the money back. How can I pay the course fees? see Terms and Conditions on page 19. From Class Red League, children will use poles. Where can I buy my ski pass? At the tourist office in Sils (vis-à-vis ski school office in the house Chesa Cumünela),at all cable car bottom stations as well as in some hotels. You can buy the Engadin Card under from home. The card is loaded after entering through a turnstile/flap gate for the first time
