INTRODUCTION ADNOC Civil Projects Division (CPD) is delighted to host the 1st Annual Project Management Forum launched under the theme: Construction Projects in Oil and Gas Challenges and Improvements. The Forum will focus on the financial aspects of the construction projects and explore in detail cash flows and economics based on actual case study projects performed by the Civil Projects Division. Hosted against the backdrop of the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) the 1 day Forum provides the opportunity for attendees to get up to date with opportunities in the construction field of the oil and gas sector, creating a platform for open discussions to benefit all companies operating in this arena. The financial relations with other key players such as the client, Sub Contractors and Suppliers, and Banks will be explored. The method of addressing variation works will be addressed, together with a comparison with other forms of Contracts dealt with by the international Contractor. The presentation will be based on the 2.5 Billion AED accommodation Project in Ruwais. The aspects of the quality of the accommodation, the challenges related to working in remote areas and the changes in construction methodology will be addressed in detail. ABOUT ADNOC S CIVIL PROJECTS DIVISION (CPD) ADNOC s Civil Projects Division (CPD) is part of the Shared Services and Technical Services Directorate. Civil Projects Division Vision To be recognised as one of the best Project Management entities in the region by applying the best International Standards and best Industry Practices to complete assigned Projects with the allocated budget and time by the year 2019. Civil Projects Division Mission Manage the Civil Projects assigned by ADNOC and its Group Companies in the Engineering and Construction Phases till the successful handing over to end user by applying the best International and local industry standards while controlling the projects by applying the best planning, cost control, HSE and QA/QC policies and practices to ensure completion of the projects as required and within the allocated time and budget. Civil Projects Division Scope of Works CPD directs, manages and leads the projects starting from initial phases to completion, including the work of licensors, Engineering Consultants both Design and Management, Contractors and vendors. Professionally ensures all health, safety, quality and environmental requirements are complied with implementing Company procedures and policies together with Management and owner s guidelines. CPD is involved with the related governmental authorities in developing Codes of Practice and procedures for the Construction Industry and in the Master Plans in Emirates of Abu Dhabi. CPD Provides engineering expertise and advice to ADNOC Directorates in various disciplines and peer review of project/technical proposals. ISO Certification In the quest of being one of the best in the industry, in the year 2014, Civil Projects Division (CPD) had taken the initiative to get certified by ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety Management System. The aim was to achieve and surpass end user satisfaction by applying the best international and local industry standards while controlling the Projects through application of critical aspects of Planning, Cost Control, HSE and Quality. ADNOC CPD was awarded the aforementioned certifications in December 2014 after successfully implementing the ADNOC CPD IMS on all the Projects managed by ADNOC CPD.
