OUR LOGO IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US. Please be nice to it. Rationale Our logo was developed to be used for many years to come. It was last updated in the year 2010. This now is now very distinct mark in the John Molson School of Business and is required to be used on all of the promotional material. This includes but is not limited to, CASA events and initiatives, and each of the 14 subsidiaries material. Construction The graphic element was designed around the circle. The circle is meant to represent the inclusveness of the association. The 6 circle hub is often used in profile pictures and when small, simple designs are needed. Color Treatment There are three version of the CASA logo that can be used. The first is the original full-coloured option. This option shuld be used whenever possible. The next two options are a full black and a full white option that can be used when needing neutrality. BRAND GUIDELINES 3

Exclusion Zone The minimum exclusion zone margin for our logo is.2 inches off the sides and.1 inches off the top and bottom. The zone must be zalculate from the farthest edge of the logo. This refers to the inner rectangle. Minimum Size The bigger is always better. The logo should not be made smaller than.75 inches in height..75 in Please don t 01 There is a right way and a wrong way to present our logo. 01 Not right Do not rotate the logo. 02 Color clash Do not use backgrounds that contrast with the logo. If you are using cluttered or flashy colors please use the black or white verison of the logo 02 03 03 No thanks Please do not add features such as drop-shadows to the logo. BRAND GUIDELINES 4

OUR COLOURS DEFINE WHO WE ARE. They encapsulate our brand and distinguish us amongst the crowd. Where possible, our logo should be reproduced in it s CMYK process. When the logo is to be used digitally equivalent colors can be composed using the RBG and HEX references. The colors that CASAJMSB has chosen to embody all these years are those of Concordia. The maroon and gold can be seen throughout numerous Concordia sports teams, promotional items and corporate documents. TYPOGRAPHY IS THE BACKBONE OF DESIGN We love the city we live in. Why not show it through our type. Our corporate font is Montreal. The font comes in a variety of weights ranging from Xlight to Heavy and each weight has a special ITA form. This font can be found in the CASAJMSB Marketing Library. Headline Fonts Montreal // Heavy Montreal // Bold Montreal // Medium Body Fonts Montreal // Heavy Montreal // Light Montreal // Xlight The Montreal family of fonts is to be used for all corporate-related material. This includes, presentations, publicized documents, and official CASAJMSB press releases. Other fonts can be used in specialty cases, such as Orientation Week and Halloween, which may require you to use a font within a theme. If that is the case, please adhere to the following rules: 01 No more than two different fonts within the same image 02 All fonts must be downloaded and archived for future reference 03 All fonts must be legible from a far distance BRAND GUIDELINES 6

BEST TO HAVE A CHECKLIST. Then you know you ve done everything 01 The Logo Make sure that you are using a correct version of the logo. This can be original RGB, black, or white. Keep in mind minimum size and exclusion zone requirements. 02 Background Make sure that the logo does not clash with the background. If need be, use the white or black version. 03 Colors If recreating the logo on the web please use the provided RGB, CMYK and HEX colors. 04 Typography Make sure that the correct typefaces are being used when applicable.
