MY HOME - VidEO door ENTrY and HOME VidEO SurVEillaNCE SYSTEM - GENERAL FEATURES System composition The wire video door entry system uses the same SCS technology of all the MY HOME applications. Regardless of system complexity, the functions needed, and the number of video handsets, all the devices are connected using the same wire cable, and are configured univocally. In order to increase the system safety level, it is possible to connect wire indoor and outdoor cameras, the which images will be displayed directly on the video handsets (home video surveillance function). If a higher level of safety is required, it will be possible to associate an IR sensor of the burglar-alarm system to each sensor. In this way, in case of trespassing, both the camera and the video handset will activate automatically. In order to complete a wire video door entry system, in addition to the Outdoor pushbutton panel and the handsets, a few accessory will be needed, connected to the wire. 3 riser ( wires) 4 Electric distribution board or My Home Flatwall Floor shunt System expansion module Entrance panel 34

AUDIO/VIDEO NODE: mixes the audio and video signals from external sources (entrance panels, cameras, sound sources...) and retransmits them on the WIRE riser (in alternative the audio/video matrix can also be used). 4. FLOOr SHuNT: used for star-connecting 4 apartments, hence saving a lot of cable. In addition, it lets you reach the maximum extension of the system 5. ApArTMENT INTErFACE: used for isolating the apartment from the riser. In this way, inside the apartment it will be possible to install an independent system with the corresponding MY HOME applications. MY HOME - VIDEO DOOR ENTRY AND HOME VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM 6. Configuration To configure means to program the system. This occurs assigning an identification and operational mode number to the devices. This operation is made inserting in the appropriate seats some configurators (numbered from 0 to 9), using a clamp provided with the power supply or contained in the case of the configurators or using the configuration software (recommended). A seat is left empty corresponds to the configuration of a zero. In the system exist two different numerations to identify respectively the entrance panels (EP) and the handsets. The numeration of the EP (0-96) is generally identified by P, while the address of the handsets (0-99) is identified by N. On the EP, in addition to the P address it is necessary to configure also the N address relating to the handset from which we would start to call. On the handsets in addition to the N address, it is necessary to configure in P the EP associated to the same handset, or the entrance panel on which the door lock and autoswitching controls work when the handset is switched. = S = The configurators can be purchased in a case or individually Example of configured system and its operation door lock and auto-switching on controls in pause from apartment 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 Apartment Apartment 5 Call apartment 350K 350/ 350/ 350/3 350/4 350/5 350/6 350/7 350/8 350/9 350/0 350/SLA = I 0-9 Call apartment 5 door lock and auto-switching on controls in pause from apartment 5 S L A n = = 5 P = = S = MY HOME - VIDEO DOOR ENTRY AND HOME VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM Should occur the need to modify the configuration of a device, it is necessary, in addition to change the configurators, take off the power supply to the whole system, wait minute, and then provide voltage again. MY HOME - Video door entry and home video surveillance system - GENERAL RULES FOR INSTALLATI The wiring SYSTEM WIRING The systems can also be wired in modes: in-out wiring STAR wiring with floor shunt 34684 (recommended). In-out wiring In-out wiring is connected directly on the terminal of the appliances which are connected to the system. Each riser must be terminated by positioning the micro switch of the last handset to. In-out wiring is particularly indicated for one and two-family systems and for vertical or horizontal multi-family systems (with the homes in rows). In-out wiring STAR wiring The star wiring is made connecting the individual apartment to an output of the floor distribution block Item 34684. Each line must be terminated by positioning the micro switch of the last appliance to. STAR wiring is particularly suitable for multi-family systems, when more than one living unit on the same floor or in multi-family systems, where max. distance between the entrance panel and all handsets is needed. On each output of the shunt it will be possible to connect up to 3 handsets maximum. An output of the floor distribution block must be dedicated to each handset with simultaneous switching on or table-top base installation. COMBINED WIrING Both wiring methods described on Apartment n previously can be used together, for the realization of more articulated systems. The combined wiring (IN-OUT and Star) allows to execute wiring systems in order to satisfy the greatest quantity of requests. Floor distribution blocks outputs can be used to connect a single device or to generate an apartment line (on which max. 3 devices can be connected, without using the apartment interface item 346850). To the Bus handset can be connected in IN-OUT floor distribution blocks or handsets. The assignation of the handsets to the apartments occurs through configuration (for further information see technical sheets for the individual devices). on on Apartment 3 Apartment on Apartment on 34684 on Entrance panel Floor shunt 00 m MY HOME - VIDEO DOOR ENTRY AND HOME VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM Video entrance panel 37

INTErFACES ITEM 346850 AND 34685 The interfaces item 346850 (apartment interface) and item 34685 (system expansion module) cannot be installed in a manhole. For their installation, a sealed electric cabin with DIN rail must be used (DIN switchboard). HEIGHT OF THE ENTrANCE panel When installing the Entrance panel, it is recommended that the pushbutton panel is installed at a height of 60 65 cm (top edge). The camera must not be installed in front of light sources, or in places where the subject being filmed is in the shadow. If this condition cannot be respected, the picture will not have much contrast in the darker areas. This is because the brightness is selfregulated on the lighter part of the picture. To solve these problems change the camera installation height, normally 60 65 cm, to a height of 80 cm and direct the lens downwards to improve the quality of the shots. In scarcely lit areas, the installation of an additional light source is recommended. 37
