Princess Lea of Belgium It is a great honour for me to welcome you at the EURAPS meeting in 2016. Together with my husband, Prince Alexander of Belgium, we created a Fund to help the weaker and fragilised people in Belgium, supporting sick or disabled children and their families every year. One of our goals is to develop the best medical and surgical care for those people. This goal we share with EURAPS, since this society focuses on improving reconstructive surgery. Besides that, we also cherish the quest for beauty and appreciate the efforts of EURAPS to make this world a more beautiful place.

Letter of the local host Dear colleagues and friends, It is our pleasure to announce the 5 th Research Council Meeting & the 27 th annual European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS) to be held between 25 th and 28 th of May 2016 in Brussels, BELGIUM. Both the Research Council meeting and the EURAPS congress will take place in the beautiful Assembly Rooms in hotel «Le Plaza». The Plaza, Paris and Hollywood in Brussels. The Hotel Le Plaza Brussels is an Art Deco palace built between 1928 and 1931 and designed by Alfred Hoch and Michel Polak, an accomplished Swiss architect also known for the Residence Palace and the Villa Empain. Inspired by the George V hotel in Paris, the Hotel Le Plaza Brussels and refinements are a continual source of wonderment. Its exceptional Theatre, originally a movie theatre simply called Le Plaza, has a capacity of 1 300 guests. Since 1992, the entrance hall and the lobby have been part of the Belgian heritage list for its architecture and décor. Our meeting dinner will take place at «Autoworld» (Parc du Cinquantenaire 1000 Brussels). The museum s housing treasures of the history of the motor car. Autoworld is a highly-colourful environment adapted for teaching purposes and created to continue evolving on a non-stop basis. Decades of evolution in technology, comfort, safety and increasing concern with the environment are on display here via superb coaches and countless motorized vehicles. From the earliest models of the distant past to contemporary cars that prefigure the automobile of tomorrow and beyond, the visitor is guided through the fabulous history of the motor car thanks to technical but easily comprehensible commentaries. It is an honour and privilege to organise a congress with a scientific program organized with selected top quality scientific papers from all over the world.
