Directions from Larnaca Airport to Border Crossing in Famagusta On leaving Larnaca airport car park follow the road straight on to the motorway. Once on the motorway drive straight on until the motorway forks you stay in the right lane. Follow the Agia Napa and Paralimli signs and take the left turn off at the junction marked Achna. Go over a bridge and turn left at Amohostos and continue straight until you get to the Ayios Nicholas British Army Base, where the border crossing is located. Border Information If travelling from within Europe you do not need a visa to enter Southern Cyprus, if travelling from outside the EU then you need to check whether or not a visa is required. At the border crossing you will be issued with a visitor s visa which is valid for up to 90 days for Northern Cyprus. Directions from Ercan Airport to the Clinic (Nicosia- Lefkosa) After exiting Ercan airport follow the dual carriageway straight on. The speed is in kilo metres not miles, follow the signs for Lefkosa. When the road forks bear to your left and take the left exit, marked Lefkosa (Nicosia). Follow the road straight and go straight over the the mini roundabouts and traffic lights. Once you get to Lefkosa you will pass through a series if lights and then after passing stadium like seats in both sides of the road you will need to take the filter lane and turn fight for the Near East University (Yakin Dogu) follow the road and take the left turn at the roundabout and follow the signs for the hospital. Directions for Accommodation in the Kyrenia/Girne area to Lefoksa/Nicosia If your hotel is located in the centre of Girne or to the west head for the Lefoksa/Nicosia roundabout in town. Take the dual carriageway road towards Lefkosa going over the Kyrenia Mountains. As you come to the end of the dual carriageway you approach a large roundabout with statues take the 1 st exit left onto the Famagusta Road. This dual carriage continues on for about 45 kilometres into Famagusta. As you approach the end of the dual carriageway you will come to a roundabout take the 2 nd exit and the hospital is situated on the left. If your hotel is located to the east of Kyrenia/Girne then you should take the Besparmak Mountain pass road which will bring you down to the main road mentioned in the previous paragraph and follow directions to Famagusta/Gazi Magusa. Travel from Kyrenia/Girne to Nicosia/Lefkosa is approximately 20-30 minutes.

You are required to purchase insurance for entry to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). This can be bought at any border crossing, without it you are not able to drive into the North, The Famagusta insurance office is open between 9am 8pm, outside of these hours it is not possible to purchase insurance therefore not possible to cross the border in your hired car. You should note that car insurance can only be bought for a maximum of 3 days at a time and will need to be renewed
every 3 days at the border crossing so buying a 30 day insurance will be more cost effective. Insurance from the Metahan border in Nicosia can be purchased all day as they are open 24 hours. We would advise that should you be arriving into Larnaca outside of these hours you can use our taxi transfer service and hire a car in the North. All border crossings are open 24 hours 365 days a year; it is only the insurance offices that have limited opening hours apart from Metahan in Lefkosa.
