2 Getting around the city Situated in the middle of Norway, Trondheim is the perfect base for exploring Trøndelag (the region) and the city can easily be reached by air, train or bus. In general, airlines, trains, buses, ferries and shops in Norway are accessible for everyone. But some advance planning will still make it easier for you to get around. Visit Norway offers advice on getting around Trondheim on their website: Map of the region Arriving by air If you re flying in Norway, the airline can help you reserve seats with enough space, while ground staff can help you on and off planes. Please contact the airline and airport at least 48 hours in advance to notify them of your needs. Both finalists supporters will be using the same airport / terminal due to the low travelling fans expected to Trondheim. Supporters traveling with commercial flights to Værnes airport. 3 Accessible services at Trondheim airport Trondheim Airport is approximately 32km from the Lerkandal stadion and is approximately a 30 minute drive. The following online guides provide details of the services available at the airport for disabled passengers and for those with reduced mobility: For further information, please call T: Shuttle bus service from the airport: Airport bus service serves all hotels in Trondheim city center. Price NOK 140 (approx. 15) Time of travel minutes. Almost all airport buses are wheelchair accessible and equipped with lifts or ramps. Toilet facilities are not normally available on trains and buses to and from airports. Nettbuss-Flybussen offers a shuttle coach service from the airport to the stadium, with stops at several hotels and locations (within the city centre) along the route. To contact Nettbuss-Flybussen: T: / E: flybusstrd@nettbuss.no W: Arriving by train If you require disabled passenger assistance or to book an accessible seat for your train journey, please book your ticket either from a customer representative at the station, or by contacting the Norwegian State Railways (NSB) call centre at Assistance is available for getting to and from your train at some stations. Assistance on your journey is free of charge and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Assistance getting on and off the train does not require advance booking, but it is still recommended to contact the customer centre beforehand. If you are travelling with an assistant or companion, they are entitled to a discount. 3

4 Most modern trains have lifts for wheelchairs, as well as wheelchair accessible toilets, security attachments for wheelchairs and at least one broad sleeping compartment. These must be booked in advance. The stops will be announced over the PA system and displayed on screens in the carriages. The main train station in Trondheim The main train station in Trondheim is Trondheim Central Station, located approximately 4km from Lerkendal stadion. If arriving by air, trains depart every hour from Værnes airport to Trondheim S (City centre). Price NOK 79 (approx. 9). Time of travel 38 minutes. New buses have toilet facilities on board, accessible for disabled travelers. In newer buses, digital displays show the next stop and these are also announced over the PA system. You are advised to contact the bus company in advance if travelling with a guide dog or have other access requirements. Getting around Trondheim by bus Visit Norway advises that newer local buses have manual or automatic ramps. In larger towns most buses have low floors. The newest buses have audible and visual announcements of the next stop. Guide dogs are usually allowed on local buses. City buses in Trondheim are administered by AtB. For Lerkendal Stadium take bus number 60. AtB has confirmed that all AtB buses in the city have a low entrance for wheelchair user passengers and bus drivers will also assist disabled passengers where required. 4

5 For further information and AtB timetables online visit the AtB website at Getting to the stadium by Bus The local bus company, AtB, offers a number of services to the ground. Lerkendal stadion is located approximately two kilometres south of the city centre. The best alternative is the bus stop Lerkendal stadium (3, 8, 17, 55, 60, 66). The station to leave the train is called Lerkendal station. Fan Meeting Points by bus The Fan Meeting Points are connected with separate routes to and from the stadium. Torget square (Finalist A - West) can be reached via bus number 4, 6, 9 and 66 from Prinsens gate to Professor Brochs gate. Solsiden (Finalist B - East) can be reached via bus number 4 and 6 from Solsiden to Professor Brochs gate. Further information about the 2 Fan Meeting Points can be found later in this guide. Getting around by accessible taxi Taxis from the airport to the city centre cost approximately NOK 600 ( 65) per car and take a maximum of 4 passengers. Time of travel 28 minutes. Getting to the stadium by car E6 (highway airport - stadium): take Innherredsvegen and E14 to E6 in Stjørdal, follow E6 to Torbjørn Bratts veg in Trondheim. Take exit 38 from E6, Follow Torbjørn Bratts veg and Strindvegen to the stadium. Key mobility points for the UEFA Super Cup Final Coach transfer from airport to stadium and back needs to be provided by club/agencies. Transfer of the fans from parking areas GT Bus to Fan meeting points will either be by walking or by public transport along separate routes. Free of charge Coach parking will be provided close to the stadium but only for registered coaches. Use of private car is discouraged. The private cars will be directed towards the interchange parking lots. The transfer of the fans from interchange parking to the Stadium will be managed by Public Transport. Independent travelers will be encouraged to stay in Trondheim and to take the scheduled flights or to travel by bus or train. 6

9 Fan Meeting Points On the day of the UEFA Super Cup there are two separate fan meeting points, one for each team. Both are in the city centre within walking distance from Lerkendal stadium. The fan meeting points are situated in areas with bars, restaurants and shops. Both fan meeting points will open at 12 pm with information and guides. From 4 pm till 6 pm, live music will be played in the fan meeting points. The meeting point for Real Madrid CF fans is Torget square. The meeting point for Sevilla FC fans is Solsiden square. From Torget Square (Real Madrid fan meeting point) Walking from the fan meeting point at Torget to Lerkendal stadium takes approximately 28 minutes (2,3 km). Route: Kongens gate turn left and follow Prinsens gate over Elgeseter bru and continue on Elgeseter gate Holtermanns veg until you meet Strindvegen and turn left. Bus: Number 4, 6, 9 and 66 from Prinsens gate to Professor Brochs gate. From Solsiden Square (Sevilla fan meeting point) Walking from the fan meeting point at Solsiden to Lerkendal stadium takes approximately 38 minutes (3,1 km). Route: Beddingen turn right and follow Innherredsveien until you meet the roundabout follow Nedre Bakklandet Øvre Bakklandet Vollabakken Klæbuveien until you meet Strindvegen and turn left. Bus: Number 4 and 6 from Solsiden to Professor Brochs gate. Coach Transfer Coach transfer from airport to stadium and back will be provided by clubs / agencies. The transfer of the fans from parking areas GT Bus to Fans Zones will be by walking or by public transport along separate routes. 9

11 Stadium information Accessible (disabled friendly) Parking Accessible (disabled-friendly) parking is only available to disabled spectators with a valid parking permit. The parking permit can be requested when purchasing the match ticket. Parking for disabled supporters is available in the P7 car park close to gate 7 (principle entrance for disabled fans). Stadium Accessible (disabled friendly) Drop-off and pick-up points An accessible (disabled friendly) drop-off point for disabled supporters has been identified at the intersection of Odd Iversens veg and S.P. 12 Accessible (disabled-friendly) entrances There are three (3) accessible stadium entrances (Gates 7, 11 and 18) and CAFE would recommend that disabled supporters arrive early, to allow extra time to reach their seats. Map showing accessible (disabled-friendly) entrances 12

13 Accessible directions Dedicated wayfinding signage (directions) will be installed to direct disabled supporters arriving from the city and from accessible parking P7 or the drop-off point to the accessible (disabled supporter) viewing areas in the stadium. Disabled supporter signage 13

This entrance is close to the accessible (disabled supporter) seating areas. There are respective signs indicating the route (please see map above). Additionally gates 11 and 18 are both accessible. Accessible (disabled-friendly) viewing areas Wheelchair user spaces Wheelchair user spaces are located in the main stand, the east stand and the north stand. Companions will be provided with foldable chairs, and will be positioned slightly behind wheelchair users. Easy access seating Easy access seats for disabled supporters have been identified within the stadium s accessible viewing areas. 14

15 Accessible (disabled-friendly) amenities Concessions Please note that whilst concessions and refreshment kiosks are located near to accessible viewing areas, not all concessions have low-level (drop) counters. Accessible (disabled friendly) toilets Accessible (disabled friendly) unisex toilets are located close to the accessible viewing areas. In the main stand, disabled supporters will be required to take a lift to reach the accessible toilets on the floor below. There is only one lift available, with accommodation for one wheelchair user at a time. Accessible (disabled-friendly) services Stadium stewards and dedicated matchday volunteers will be available to offer assistance to disabled supporters throughout the match and when arriving and leaving the stadium.
