Key Known Issues in 6.4.0 Google Maps as a background layer does not support animated zoom in the s Google Maps as a background layer does not work with world files containing Antarctica Google Maps might not be suitable as a background layer for countries close to the international date line (e.g. New Zealand, Fiji) since the map sometimes looses the base layer when zooming to such a map feature. Reports with Google Maps as a background layer will not export or print with the option Rescale to fit page when they are up on a web server Google Maps as a background in the Double Map and Double Map Time Series templates will cause map zooming problems if the map navigation is set to be synchronised The Batch Publisher does not currently support Google Maps as a background layer The Batch Publisher does not currently support layer specific settings like stroke width and contextual fill opacity. The legend of the Advanced Pie Chart always sorts categories alphabetically. There is no option for the administrator to define the order. Second map does not zoom to filter on when applying the filter via URL parameters in Double Map and Double Map Time Series templates When using certain subversions of Flash Player 9 a filter button label will appear in the even when there is no filter in the data file. Compatibility Notes You may wish to publish a v6.4.0 dynamic to benefit from the enhancements/bug fixes but retain the data and design that you created in an older. Of the files that contain the data/design, some can be safely copied over from an older while others cannot. The table below shows the versions of s it is safe to copy files across from. File v6.0, 6.1, 6.2 or v6.3 v5 or older Data files (data.xml and supporting theme XML files) Stylesheet (default.css) Configuration file (config.xml) Yes, can be copied to a v6.4.0 Yes, can be copied to a v6.4.0 No, should not normally be copied to a v6.4.0 * Yes, can be copied to a v6.4.0 No, cannot be copied to a v6.4.0 No, cannot be copied to a v6.4.0 * Configuration files (config.xml) prepared using older v6 InstantAtlas software are not compatible and copying these files over from an older will generally cause a v6.4.0 to malfunction. In some circumstances (where the differences between files are very minor) an older configuration file may work adequately but you should test the final thoroughly. If you wish to continue creating XML data files for old v5 s you will have to use a v5.x Excel Data Manager add-in. You can have multiple InstantAtlas add-ins in Excel and can switch between them using Excel options for add-ins. 5.
