3 1. Introduction Website Creator Pro is an online Website Design Tool. Website Creator Pro is a template driven website building tool which features a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor and many advanced built-in features, called widgets. Website Creator Pro Page 3 of 14 Version 0.5
4 2. Navigation The functionality of Website Creator Pro is accessed by means of a top navigation bar and the Website Structure tab on the left side of the screen. We will discuss these in the following sections Top Bar The top navigation bar consists of three tabs and five buttons Tabs The three tabs are: Style/Details Manage Content Settings Each will be discussed in turn. Style/Details The Style/Details tab sets the template for the site*, element colors, and the default text fonts. * Changing the template in Website Creator Pro will NOT affect the content of the site. Manage Content The Manage Content tab controls widgets, images, widget teasers, and the clipboard. Settings Settings manages SEO, the Meta information for the page. It also contains the General option, which sets the Category and SubCategory of the site s vertical, or business type Buttons Preview and Publish buttons function exactly as in EasySiteWizard Pro. The Reset button is an undo button. The Save button saves the changes to the page and clears the Reset history. The? button opens the Advisor tab Website Structure Fly-Out The website structure sliding menu on the left edge of the editor is equivalent to the Menu Editor in EasySiteWizard Pro. Website Creator Pro Page 4 of 14 Version 0.5
5 3. Usage The usage of Website Creator Pro will be addressed in this section Editor Opening the application immediately brings the user into the editor. There is no need to select a site to manage, since only one site can be created per hosted domain. Each aspect of using the editor will be treated separately below Edit Text Text appears in predefined areas of the page. Click within the text to position the cursor, and then type. The text formatting bar will appear above the text. An empty text element will contain the icon A template may include special text elements marked with icons. To type in these areas, right-click the element to position the cursor, then click again. You can now type in this area Moving Elements An element can be dragged to a different location. Only certain preset locations are allowed; elements cannot be randomly positioned Manage Content Under manage content, widgets, images & videos, widget teasers, and the clipboard can be accessed.
