Welcome It is with excitement that I welcome you to the 2015 National Horticulture Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence to be held at the popular Jupiters on the Gold Coast from 25 27 June 2015. The past five years have seen continual growth for the National Horticulture Convention and industry alike, reflected by a record number of delegates in 2014 with an attendance of over 1,100. The 2015 convention is set to attract the highest attendance to date as the industry continues to move forward. The 2015 National Horticulture Convention will return to a familiar location on the Gold Coast where the program will build on favourites such as the Trade Show, Speaker Sessions and various social events while also continuing to provide insight into important industry issues. With the continued expansion of the industry, this opportunity to showcase your company to growers will be a chance that should not be overlooked. The Trade Show will expand and booths are expected to sell out quickly. I would therefore encourage you to register quickly to avoid disappointment and to ensure you maximise the potential to heighten your company s reputation. This event will certainly be the most successful industry conference in Australia and I look forward to witnessing firsthand the support demonstrated by a wide range of stakeholders in horticulture. When combined, the value of apple, pear, vegetable and potato production accounts for around 45% of the horticulture industry and we hope more horticultural partners will join us to service more of the industry. Apple and pear growers will benefit from the bigger scale of the conference because a combined conference will result in a bigger trade show with more exhibitors, more high profile speakers, more visiting fresh produce importers, a grander awards night, plenty of diverse social events and there will be more delegates to interact with across the broader horticultural sector. We will also have a dedicated series of events, speakers and activities exclusively for apple and pear growers on topics of particular interest to our specialised industry. In the apple and pear component of the program we will ensure you get research updates from our scientific partners to help provide you with the latest ideas for orchard and pack house management. Our AGM and Key Stakeholders Roundtable will also be held at the conference. I am really looking forward to attending this year s event and to seeing all of our apple and pear growers there as well as a bigger range of people working in the apple and pear industry and servicing our growers. Any additional company representatives will need to register at an additional cost of $130 per person (subsidised, includes catering). Registered booth staff will be able to enter the Trade Show without cost, however to take advantage of other events of the Convention, event tickets must be purchased. The location of your booth will be listed in the Trade Show floorplan in the delegate handbook, allowing delegates to easily locate you. AUSVEG reserves the right to deny any exhibitor application. AUSVEG reserves the right to change any of the content contained in this and subsequent brochures without warning or prior notice. This includes access to afternoon tea (Friday), morning tea (Saturday) and lunch (both days), but excludes alcohol. for any extra representatives is included in the additional exhibitor registration fee.

Awards will be presented at the National Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner on Saturday 27 June. *The Trade Display of the Year Awards are not open for nomination. All exhibitors are deemed entrants for Trade Display of the Year Awards.
