My Account Setting up your business phone features You can add or remove the following features at any time just log in to My Account to set up the ones you need. You ll find the complete list of phone features and up-to-date pricing at vodafone.co.nz. It s easy to manage your account online just log in to My Account at vodafone.co.nz/myaccount Here you can: access your account details add and remove phone features update your contact details make payments check your internet and calling usage keep an eye on your toll calls add PC protection add SKY and MYSKY HDi to your account double your data view your monthly bills, and much more Once your business services have been migrated to the Red Network, you may need to set up some of your phone features again. It s easy - just follow these instructions. Voicemail Never miss a call let voicemail take a message for you when you can t get to the phone. If you hear a series of fast beeps when you pick up the phone, this means you have a new voice message or you have not set up your voicemail. To open your mailbox for the first time Dial *61 from your Vodafone fixed landline to access the voice You will be asked to enter your temporary PIN (this is on the email you received) followed by # When prompted enter a new four digit PIN and then press # You will then be prompted to confirm your new PIN Then follow the voice prompts to set up your mailbox This will include recording your Name greeting for your mailbox Once you ve set up your mailbox, you ll be able to listen to your messages, record or change your Busy and No Answer greetings, and change your PIN and Name greeting by following the instructions below. To listen to your messages: You can check your messages from any phone. From your landline: Dial *61 from your landline Enter your PIN followed by # Press 1 to listen to your messages Follow the voice prompts to set up your mailboxes Setting up your Busy or No Answer greeting This is the greeting callers will hear when you can t answer the phone. You can choose our standard greeting or record your own and change it as often as you like from the main menu. To choose your PIN You can change your PIN at any time. It must be four digits and can t be the last four digits of your phone number. Dial *62 from your Vodafone landline to access the main menu Press 8 to change your PIN Enter a new PIN followed by the # key and confirm your new PIN When prompted, re-enter your new PIN and press # To record your mailbox name (this is the name you hear when you access your mailbox) Dial *62 from your Vodafone landline Press 3 to access the name greeting menu In the name greeting menu Press 1 to record your name Press 2 to listen to your current recording Press 3 to delete your name Press * to return to the main menu Press # to repeat the menu To change the number of rings before voicemail activates Press *610 and follow the voice prompts From another phone Dial 0800VFMAIL or 09 947 6000 to access the main voice Enter your area code without the 0 followed by your phone number e.g. 4 123 4567 Enter your PIN followed by # Press 1 for the voice Press 1 to listen to your messages If you re calling from outside the local calling area or from a mobile phone, applicable call charges apply To access your voicemail from overseas Dial 00 64 9 947 6000 and follow the instructions to access your voicemail International calling charges apply Call waiting See when someone is trying to call you while you re already on a call. To use this feature, you just need a touchtone phone You will hear four beeps when someone calls you while you re on another call, but you ll have longer than this to answer the second call The second caller simply hears a ringing tone and will usually keep holding for six to eight rings Just press the flash or recall button on your phone to talk to the second caller To return to the first caller, press the flash or recall button again If you use the flash or recall button on your phone to move between calls you won t lose a caller by mistake Call waiting works really well when combined with voicemail because you can choose to accept a second call or let it go through to your voicemail to take a message. Suspending call waiting You can suspend call waiting if you need to make an important call and don t want to be interrupted or when you re about to use dial up internet. To suspend call waiting for one call, lift the handset and dial *70 To permanently cancel call waiting lift handset and dial #43 Then dial your number When you complete your call, dial *43 and call waiting will be automatically reactivated Call diversion Forward incoming calls to an alternative mobile or landline number. Activating a diversion from your phone Dial the assigned access code for the type of call diversion you would like to activate (see below) Enter the phone number to which calls will be forwarded The voice prompt will confirm it has been activated Access codes to activate *72 Call diversion: always all calls to your phone go straight to the alternative number you want your calls diverted to *90 Call diversion: busy when your phone is busy, calls are diverted to an alternative number *92 Call diversion: no answer your phone will ring eight times before a message tells the caller that they ll be put through to the alternative number Deactivate call diversion Dial the assigned access code for the type of call diversion you wish to deactivate (see below) The service is now inactive The voice prompt will confirm it has been deactivated Access codes to deactivate *73 Call diversion: always *91 Call diversion: busy *93 Call diversion: no answer Charges and restrictions Calling charges apply if you divert your calls to a mobile number or another phone outside your local calling area, unless you re signed up to one of our monthly fee calling plans You won t be able to have a fax line and call diversion on the same phone line 3
Remote call diversion Activate your call diversion when you re away on business. Dial 0800VFMAIL or 09 947 6000 to access the main menu Enter your area code without the 0, followed by your telephone number e.g. 9123 4567 Enter your four digit PIN then press # Press 4 for call diversion options Press 1 to activate a number already set up Press 2 to deactivate call diversion Press 3 to change the call divert destination number and enter the new number then press # (to activate this number press 1) If you re calling from outside the local calling area or from a mobile phone, applicable call charges apply If you re calling from overseas Dial 00 64 9 947 6000 and follow the normal call diversion steps International calling charges apply Business caller display See who s calling before you answer and keep track of who has called. To use this feature, you just need a compatible telephone or a caller display unit, which plugs into your phone and jackpoint If the caller stays on the phone so that it rings at least twice, the phone or display unit will keep a record of all the people who have called you In some situations, caller display won t be able to show a caller s number for instance, if they are calling from overseas, a payphone or certain types of mobile phones Blocking your number To block your ID when making a call, lift the handset and dial *67 followed by the phone number of the person you want to call don t wait for a dial tone To block your ID permanently, lift the handset, dial *31 and hang up To unblock your ID, lift the handset, dial *32 and hang up Multi call Get people in three different locations to share the same phone call. Multi call is available in most areas and you just need a touchtone phone to use it If you exit a multi call your charges will continue until the other callers hang up To connect to multi call Dial the second location and wait for them to answer Press the recall or flash button on your phone you ll hear the engaged tone and then the normal dial tone Dial the third location followed by # When the third person answers you may talk privately before you press the recall or flash button to connect all three calls If the third person doesn t reply or is engaged, press the recall or flash button to go back to the original call To disconnect a multi call Simply hang up or ask one of the callers to hang up if their part of the call is finished To disconnect the third caller while keeping the original call going, press the recall or flash button briefly If you hang up all callers will be disconnected Audio conference Speak to up to twenty people in different locations on the same call. Meeting participants dial in from any phone, anywhere in the world To set up an audio conference Visit the mobile services page at vodafone.co.nz/business and use the audio conference set-up tool to set up your conference room Once you re set up, we will email further instructions to you 4
Call control Control who can make chargeable calls. When call control is activated, you won t be able to make chargeable calls (including calls made to outside your calling area, 0900 services or mobile phone calls) from your phone unless you enter your PIN first The four digit PIN is the same as your phone PIN if you want to change it, just call us or log in to My Account Call control does not prevent incoming collect or transfer charge calls You will still be able to make calls to 111 emergency services To turn call control on Dial *37, followed by your four digit PIN, then press # Wait for the confirmation tone (long-short-long) Hang up To turn call control off so that you can make a chargeable call Dial *47, followed by your four digit PIN, then press # Wait for the confirmation tone (long-short-long) Hang up Lift the handset and dial the chargeable number Turn call control on again when you have finished your chargeable call Call transfer Redirect an existing call to another phone or extension. When the call is connected, press the flash or redial button to put the call on hold Dial the second number and, once connected, press flash or redial, then press 4 The person you called originally should then be connected to the third party and your line disconnected If you transfer a call that is outside your calling plan, charges will apply (even if you are not on the call) Line link Redirect your phone number when you move locations. You can redirect calls from your business landline to another number of your choice it could be another landline, a pager service or an alternative local access network provider We can usually set up line link within 24 hours This service may not be available in some areas due to network constraints or incompatibility with other products or services Please call us on free from you mobile on 888 for more information. Fax line Put your phone and fax on the same line with different telephone numbers and ringtones for each, so that you can differentiate between fax and voice calls. We give you a separate number and ringtone for your fax machine Your fax machine then recognises the ring and accepts the fax message The usual local, national and international charges apply for all outgoing calls Restrictions Fax lines are not available in all areas You won t be able to make a phone call and send a fax at the same time You can t have a fax line and call diversion on the same phone line What you need You will need a compatible fax machine for your fax line you can find one at any major retailer 5
Wiring and maintenance This is an insurance maintenance service. So if there are general wear and tear problems with your building s internal wiring or sockets that cause a fault, then this monthly service will cover all repair costs. If a service issue is found in your building wiring or jackpoint, all reasonable charges will be covered. Any repairs requested that are not covered by internal wiring will be charged on a time and materials basis. What to do if there s a problem If you have a service issue, please first check that your equipment is operating correctly. If you re still having problems and need our technician to repair the wiring fault, please call our business customer services on 0800 438 458. As your telephone equipment is not covered by this service, we recommend that you speak to your equipment vendor or supplier about a maintenance contract.
