Responsible for providing expert advice and leadership development and delivery of clinical services within the Medicine Stream for the Metro North HHS. Ensure that services within the Medicine Stream are delivered across Metro North HHS in a co-ordinated, comprehensive framework that reflects best practice. Collaborates in setting, implementing and reporting on the strategic direction, policies and models of care and priorities for quality improvement in the provision and reform of clinical services within the Medicine Stream across Metro North HHS. This position is required to travel and work across MNHHS. The incumbent is required to operate a motor vehicle and a current C class licence must be provided. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of clinical duties. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under Key Accountabilities, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrates expert and comprehensive operational and strategic nursing knowledge of the delivery of contemporary health care related to internal medicine across the continuum of care. Demonstrates leadership expertise in change management processes and support and direction to the multidisciplinary team. Ability to provide expert advice, engage and consult effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding Medicine Stream services and targets Experience in the interpretation of existing health service systems, professional and practice standards and workforce issues. Ability to apply high level understanding of the requirements for clinical and operational governance with an ability to report on data that incorporates multiple clinical areas across MNHHS. Negotiate and gain support from key stakeholders to reach customer focussed solutions. In conjunction with Executive Director, Medicine Stream Set, implement and report on strategic direction for Metro North Medicine Stream with relevant health care facilities that meet the expected key performance indicators.
