Job Description: Digital Marketing Assistant We are looking for a Digital Marketing Assistant for a maternity cover contract to support our Marketing department. You ll be instrumental in delivering targeted digital marketing campaigns that engage with our customers, drive visitor numbers, grow web traffic and followers and ultimately increase revenues. Applicants need to demonstrate a can do attitude, be able to work to deadline in a fast-paced environment, and possess an excellent grasp of the English language. Working on a broad range of projects you will have some previous marketing experience or knowledge, be flexible, quick to adapt and comfortable working on a range of tasks that range from website content management, search engine optimization, social media, email marketing and paid search. Reports To: Department: Hours: Contract: Main Function: Stakeholders: Head of Marketing & Communications Marketing and Communications 40 hours per week; including weekends and bank holidays if required. 6-9 month contract, however it might be extended To assist and support the Marketing department to implement an integrated marketing strategy in order to meet the overall business plans of Hever Castle Ltd to attract new audiences, increase customer engagement, drive visitor numbers and grow revenue. Head of Marketing & Communications, PR & Deputy Marketing Manager Duties & Responsibilities: Marketing Campaigns Website Manage web content using Wordpress, ensuring the site is always up-to-date and fully optimised for search. Create and post promotional and news-worthy content for the website to agreed schedules. Upload event information to agreed schedules and update as required. Monitor and report on website performance using tools like Google Analytics. Take appropriate action and contribute ideas to optimise agreed KPIs like visits, page views, time spent on the site, bounce rates, conversions etc.
Social Media Create and post social media content to agreed networks and schedules. Be the voice of Hever Castle on digital channels, monitoring digital reviews and social media comments, posts and mentions daily. Responding promptly and representing Hever Castle enthusiastically. Contribute ideas to help grow our social media audience, reach and engagement. Monitor and report on social media performance using tools like Facebook Insights and Google Analytics, taking appropriate action to optimise agreed KPIs like reach, shares, likes, re-tweets etc. Email Create and distribute marketing emails/newsletters using our email service provider to agreed schedules and audiences. Conduct split tests to optimise key metrics and fine tune templates. Monitor and report on email marketing performance using reporting tools and Google Analytics, taking appropriate action and contributing ideas to optimise agreed KPIs like open rates, click-thru rates, bounce rates etc. Pull Media Create and implement pull media such as paid search, remarketing, facebook/twitter advertising to agreed schedules. Monitor and report on pull-media marketing performance using reporting tools, taking appropriate action and contributing ideas to optimise agreed KPIs like cost-per-conversion, costs-per-click etc. Other Ensure the Hever Castle brand values are reflected in all marketing campaigns. Act as an ambassador for the Hever Castle brand guidelines to ensure brand consistency at all customer touch-points. Liaise with marketing agencies as required. Keep up-to-date on industry-wide marketing trends Maintain competitor intelligence files. Data entry and manipulation as required. Re-size images using Photoshop as required. Assist with the organization of exhibitions and shows as required. Assist with the organisation of familiarisation and press trips as required. Assist the PR & Deputy Marketing Manager with filming and photo shoots if required. Assist the PR & Deputy Marketing Manager with the collation of press cuttings ensuring the offline and online press filing is up-to-date.
Skills & Qualifications: Marketing or Business related degree is an advantage. Minimum 5 GCSEs (A-C) including Maths and English and 3 A Levels. Experience of using web content management systems. Experience of writing basic copy, creating marketing literature or writing press releases. An understanding of social media use in a professional context. An understanding of SEO and Google Analytics. An understanding of key email marketing metrics. Driving licence.
