Conference Times... Your student's teacher may have scheduled a conference time to meet with you. But did you know that there are other teachers you may be interested in meeting? To see available times for other teachers: http://bit.ly/1zsxey2 KINDERGARTEN AND NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION Although the registration event was last month, we welcome you to come in the school office as soon as possilbe between 8:00 and 4:00 p.m. to pick up paperwork to enroll your child for the 2015-16 school year. Please encourage your neighbors to enroll as well. A FEW FRIENDLY REMINDERS FROM THE HEALTH OFFFICE: Proof of a dental examination is required for Kindergarten and Second Grades. The exam must be completed by May 15 th of this school year. You can go to the district website and print a copy of the required form or you may get one from the school. Call the Health Office When Your Child is Sick: Please call (847)998-5056 when your child will not be at school. Please let us know if your child has a communicable disease, such as Strep throat or if your child has lice. All information will be kept confidential. The health office phone line is available 24 hours a day. Please leave your child s name, their teacher and illness. LOST AND FOUND Please have your child check the lost and found area at school. We have accumulated many jackets, sweatshirts, gloves, mittens and hats that need to be claimed. Parents, you can also visit the lost and found while you are in the building during conferences.

MUSIC MAKES YOUR MIND GROW! Dear Parents/Guardians. I m excited to say that preparations for our Spring program are underway. The name of this year s program is Music Makes Your Mind Grow!. Every student will share the important role of singing. In addition, each child will also have one of the following roles: speaking part, dancing, or playing an instrument. All roles are extremely important to the success of our show. Students can practice the songs by going on the Westbrook music website. You may follow these steps: 1. Go to the Westbrook Music Homepage: http://wbmusic.weebly.com 2. Click on Music Makes Your Mind Grow! at the top and choose Songs. 3. Select a song. The dates and times for performances have been chosen and they are as follows: Wednesday March 18 th - 9:30 AM Smith, Manchanda Kronborg-Mogil, Sulak Wednesday March 18 th - 1:30 PM Dhamer, Boczek Freer Thursday March 19 th - 9:30 AM Duel, Brown/Lindquist Bratko, McIntyre Thursday March 19 th - 1:30 PM Shein, Skogsbakken/Brockob Peterson, Schnarr Please locate your child s teacher so you know what time their performance will begin. All performances will be held in the front gym at Westbrook School. Parking in our lot in a designated space may be challenging. We encourage you to park in the empty lot across the street. Yearbooks can be ordered online at www.treering.com/validate Enter Westbrook s passcode 101390955580484 The $13.00 price includes two free custom pages so you can add personal memories and photos to your child s yearbook. The website is easy to use and has plenty of helpful tips. Yearbooks can be ordered anytime but the deadline for custom pages and free delivery to the school is Friday, April 24, 2015. Orders after this date will be delivered to your home and charged shipping. Paper order forms will be available in the school office. The deadline for paper orders is also April 24, 2015.

Salads boring check out a few of the below suggestions for new alternatives: March 13 Breakfast Get creative! Make a fruit smoothie with low- fat milk and fresh or frozen fruit. For a m ore savory choice stuff an omelet with vegetables and top with low- fat cheese. Add fruit to your oatmeal to give the meal a flavor face- lift. Lunch & Dinner Add new veggies as pizza toppings! Try spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli or zucchini. Grill colorful vegetable kabobs packed with tomatoes, green and red peppers, mushrooms and onions. Even add fruit!
