2 Students please be aware that even though you may be out of school at this time, the other schools/teachers ARE NOT, so please do not try to visit until school is officially out. TIGER CLUB NEEDS YOUR HELP SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER FOR A GREAT PROGRAM!!! The Junction City Tiger Club has long history of serving food and refreshments to guests at home athletic events. The proceeds help to fund JCHS Athletics and Activities. Over the past 5 years, Tiger Club concession sales have provided more than $100,000 in direct support of JCHS students. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to continue this important tradition. Please contact Craig Rothenberger (541) or Malcom McRae (541) ext-299. We need to have a new group in place by early August. Team Teachers The "On Track to Graduate" required credits have been altered for next years sophomores. The credit number is now 5.0. If you know you have a team student who is an athlete please check their credit standing and verify they have the necessary credits to be eligible next Fall. Please understand they must have the number of credits listed below on the first day of school next year not when they begin their sport. Sophomores 5.0 Juniors 11.0 Seniors 18.5 If you have any students who are short of these numbers they need to arrange with Mr. Jones to take and complete credit recovery classes this summer. Thank You Craig From the Office of the Counseling Center ***Next year's juniors, Class of 2017, who are planning to take the PSAT next October need to sign up with their TEAM teachers before school is out this year so tests can be ordered for you. Students who may qualify for a fee waiver must complete and turn in a required form that students can pick up from the counseling center. Copies of the form will also be available from TEAM teachers this week. Cost is $15.00 but you DO NOT have to pay until NEXT YEAR. Graduating Seniors and other students who are either, Cadet Teachers or earning credit for working, Work Experience, full or half credit: Please turn in work hours and Cadet evaluation forms (found on the high school website or obtain in counseling center) to receive a passing grade and credit for third trimester. Check transcripts to make sure any "I" or "NG" from first or second trimester has been changed. If no verification of work hours no grade earning credit is recorded. Any student with an Independent PE class must complete and turn in charts and assignments as specified to earn credit. (Contact Cheryl Duman in the counseling center for more information)
