CONFERENCE INFORMATION Introduction The purpose of this conference is to educate professional nurses in clinical settings about generating nursing research, quality improvement and applying evidence to support clinical nursing practice. The conference provides a venue for professional nurses to network with other colleagues interested in the advancement of nursing research and evidence-based practice in clinical healthcare settings. CALL FOR ABSTRACTS : Deadline for Abstract Submissions - July 15, 2011 You are invited to submit an abstract for a concurrent oral session or poster presentation for the conference pertaining to evidence-based practice and nursing research in clinical healthcare settings. Both novice and expert nurses are encouraged to submit work. The conference provides an opportunity to present and share information with an audience of nurses interested in improving patient care outcomes through nursing research and evidence-based practice in clinical healthcare settings. Submissions may represent work that is completed, in-progress, previously presented at other meetings, and/or previously published. More than one abstract per agency or author may be submitted. Concurrent oral session presentations are limited to 30 minutes including 10 minutes for audience questions/comments. All abstracts will be reviewed and selected by a peer-review committee. All presenters MUST register for the conference. Presenters are expected to assume costs related to travel, accommodations, and registration. Guidelines for Submission: The first page of the abstract should include the following information: Designate Concurrent Oral Session or Poster Presentation Title of the project Designate Research Study or Quality Improvement Project Presenter(s) and Co-presenter(s) Name(s) and Title(s) Institutional Affiliation(s) Preferred mailing address (Primary Presenter) Daytime Phone Number (Primary Presenter) Daytime Fax Number (Primary Presenter) E-Mail Address (Primary Presenter) For concurrent oral session: provide a 150-word introduction for the presenter(s) The second page of the abstract should contain the abstract text. Begin with the title of the concurrent oral session or poster presentation. Do not put any other identifying information on page 2. Abstract should be 500 words or less using Microsoft Word. Font size should be 12 point with 1 margins on all four sides of paper.
