SBS ONLINE ADVERTISING GUIDELINES To ensure a seamless delivery of online advertising for our clients, this document contains all the information required to advertise SBS s digital platforms: Online Mobile applications IPTV & Emerging Platforms SBS sites all comply with the ABA Audit and have the green tick of approval ensuring we stand by the quality and integrity of our data Material Deadlines Standard material deadline is 3 business days prior to start of campaign Rich Media / 3rd Party material deadline is 5 business days prior to start of campaign Incorrectly submitted creative will be returned for revision The following 3rd Party Ad Servers are accepted: SBS reserves the right to remove any advertising that does not comply with our specifications, contravenes any of these guidelines or adversely affects the rendering of our site, other ad placements or user experience. Ads should not be stylistically similar to on-page content. 3 column ribbon SBS require a click-through URL or click tracking tags for all SBS site-served creative. Flash creative clicktag should be in the form: on (release) { geturl (_level0.clicktag, _blank );} A clicktag is Flash action script used to enable publisher ad servers to count clicks on Flash creative and should be coded on to a button layer in your Flash movie, not as a frame action. For Flash files, the clicktag is case sensitive. Please ensure your action script is in the following format: _level0.clicktag A backup gif or jpg image of the same dimensions must be supplied along with a click through URL. RICH MEDIA In Page and Expanding rich media ads allow for larger, politely loaded file sizes and must be served by an SBS-approved 3rd party rich media vendor. HOMEPAGE TAKEOVER Homepage Takeovers on SBS sites include the following ad placements: 1. Side Skins 120x600 or 110x600 2. MREC 300x250 3. 3 Column Ribbon 950x60 (frequency capped to 1 per user per day) 4. Footerboard 728x90 The maximum file size for each is 40kb All placements are ad served and clickable Non-expanding creative only however the MREC can accept video streaming with user initiated play and sound Side skins and/or 3 Column Ribbon are optional Homepage Takeover available on: SBS.com.au Homepage, World News Australia Homepage, SBS Food Homepage, SBS Film Homepage or SBS Documentary Homepage, The World Game 4
VIDEO VIDEO Standard Video Pre-Roll The SBS video platform is VAST 2.0 Compliant and integrated with the Mediamind 3rd Party Ad Serving platform There are no companion banners with the pre-roll on SBS sites and please provide a URL Video pre-rolls can be bought Online, on ios via the SBS On Demand app or on emerging platforms ie Sony Bravia, LG, Samsung, PS3, XBOX etc. Ad Format Dimensions (WxH) Video Encoding Max.
