rachel Johnson fashion course leader Rachel is a designer with varied industry experience of graphics, print, textiles and fashion and has been teaching at GC for seven years. Rachel s most recent teaching developments have been to help create an extended fashion department, building on existing good practice and developing some exciting industry links for the future. Her current professional practice has led to working with Doll events agency, giving students the opportunity to become part of live events based in London and nationwide. My past industry experience has involved working in costume design, textiles (print and weave), and graphic design to including branding and editorial work. More recently, I am developing promotional material for a fashion PR company. This experience always gives opportunities for students on the course, with guest speakers holding an integral role within the planning and development of the teaching and learning. Future projects involve collaborating with a fine artist to produce a series of fashion illustrations for an exhibition. This will include paint, print and pencil. I also look forward to further study at some point, and the opportunity to develop new and exciting courses as part of the fashion academy. Magda Czeweicka Former Level 3 fashion design student I have always wanted to pursue my dream of working in the fashion industry. I studied fashion at Gloucestershire College and mostly loved working in a professional studio environment. I embraced all areas of the industry, and now am thrilled to be progressing on to a degree course at Bath City University.
