Whether you re planning an intimate meeting or a large conference, The Metropole Hotel has a room, or rooms, to suit your needs. Our first floor conference centre is the perfect setting for all types of events, from conferences to banquets, product launches and sales meetings. All of the rooms are air conditioned and enjoy an abundance of natural light and a variety of fine period details. The Ballroom, our meeting room, has generous views of Cork City and the River Lee. It is the ideal room for large gatherings, from general assemblies to wedding receptions, and can incorporate large scale projection and audiovisual equipment. The Douglas Vance Room is an elegant room suitable for larger assemblies, banquets and receptions. It is equipped with a dance floor and a bar area. The Beckett Room accommodates larger events such as product launches and sales meetings, the Yeats and Wilde are ideal for smaller seminars and more intimate meetings. Each has an abundance of natural light. The Swift and the O Casey Rooms boast an elegant period atmosphere complete with original fireplaces, and are ideal for intimate meetings and banqueting events. The Joyce and Shaw are two medium-sized meeting rooms also boasting fine period details and allowing for flexible configuration to meet a variety of space requirements. These rooms are ideal for board meetings and intimate dinner parties. The Cockburn Room and the Bowen Room are two medium sized rooms located on our ground floor. These versatile rooms are ideal for a variety of events ranging from product showings to receptions.
