1. Start Screen When you press On button, Welcome will appear on the screen, and under Welcome there is a horizontal progress bar indicating the program loading. When the progress bar is fully loaded, it will enter standby screen. In Standby status, the following content will appear: the current date and time. The Time picture is on the left. If you have set Free Setting in Power Management, it will run this function at the designated time. 2. User Management 2.1 User Registration Press MENU to enter the Main Menu. In User Management, you can add a new user or delete the current user. As shown in the picture: Each user has a user Work Number. When you add a new user, firstly you have to input the user's Work Number. The screen will appear the Work Number that has not been used. If you accept, just press OK. If you want to use other numbers, you can input number keys to input the designated Work Number. You do not need to input 0 before the Number. If you want to input 27, just press 2 and 7. You can not input names on the fingerprint attendance machine. You can select Class by the Direction key. There are three classes, including Common User, Administrator and Super Administrator. -1-

After that, you need to select the Verification Registration. You may select fingerprint. Card or password is optional. If you choose fingerprint, you need to register your fingerprint by three times. This machine will acquire the best fingerprint template and store it as a relatively standard data. If you choose card, you need to brush your card on the machine. The machine will automatically read in the card number. If you choose password, you need to input the password you set on the number key board. 2.2Delete User Press MENU to enter the Main Menu. In User Management, you can delete the current user ( as shown in Adding User Picture). If you want to delete user, just input the user's work number. 3. Equipment Setting Equipment Setting includes six sub-menus, including Basic Setting, Advanced Setting, Power Management, Communication Setting, Record Setting and Self-examination Function. Each submenu has different parameters to set the item list in the menu. Use,, and to enter different menu. 3.1Basic Setting Basic Setting the basic setting of the equipment. It includes Time Setting, Language Setting, Voice Prompt, Volume Adjustment, Keypad Tones and Lock Drive Length. 3.1.1Time Setting Time Setting is used to set the time for the Fingerprint Attendance Machine. Enter the menu and set the actual time. If the machine has not been connected to the computer for -2-

long time, the time of the equip ment may not be accurate. You can use this menu item to correct the time. You can also use UnionAttend to synchronize the time with the computer when you download data, it will automatically make synchronization. 3.1.2 Language Setting You can set the language for the equipment. The languages allowed include English, Simple and Traditional Chinese, as well as Korean. Customers can ask us to prepare this function such as Thai or Spanish, etc. 3.1.3 Voice Prompt Voice prompt equipment. When you press your fingerprint or brush your card, the equipment will say Thank You!. If your fingerprint has been registered or fails in verification, the equipment will say Verification Fail. If you close the voice prompt function, the equipment will not speak.when you press your fingerprint, it will only give your three beeps. If the verification fails, it will make long voice and the screen will appear Failure, because the sound chip can only store one voice. Therefore, customers need to choose the designated language voice before it delivers from the factory. 3.1.4 Volume Adjustment It can adjust the volume of the sound, when you have opened the voice function. 3.1.5 Keypad Tones It means that when press this button, the beep will not make sound. 3.1.6 Lock Drive Length The maximum length of the lock drive is 10 seconds. The default is 5 seconds. 3.2 Advanced Setting Advanced Setting includes Verification Method, Change at Fixed Time Status, Ringing Setting, Total Administrators, Touch Sensor, Acquisition Instrument Adjustment, Firmware Upgrade, Restore Factory Setting, Delete All Attendance Records, Delete all Management Records and Delete All Registration Data. 3.2.1 Verification Method Verification Method includes three types, Fingerprint, Card and Password. 3.2.2 Status Change at Fixed Time Status Change at Fixed Time refers to the change between on and off work, you can set the time. As shown in the picture: 3.2.3 Ringing Setting You can set the ringing time and length of on and off work. As shown in the picture: -3-

3.2.4 Total Administrators Through this item, you can limit the administrators for this machine. The default administrators in the machine are five. 3.2.5 Touch Sensor This setting is able to open or close the fingerprint instrument. The default value of the system is No. if the value is Yes, the fingerprint head is closed. 3.2.6 Acquisition Instrument Adjustment It can adjust the accuracy of the, and ensure the Acquisition Instrument to collect the accurate fingerprint. 3.2.7 Firmware Upgrade This item is to upgrade the system through USB disk. When we have new function to be added or test the current firmware, we can use this item to upgrade the system of this machine. 3.2.8 Restore Factory Setting This item is to restore the factory default setting of the machine. 3.2.9 Delete All Attendance Records This menu item is to delete all the attendance data in the machine. 3.2.10 Delete All Management Records This menu item is to delete all the administrator's operation records. 3.2.11 Delete All Registration Records This menu item is to delete all the registered data in the machine. 3.3 Power Management The Power Management only includes three options, Switch-off at Fixed Time, Timeout Setting, Lock Key. 3.3.1 Switch-off At Fixed Time This option is to set the auto switch-off time. 3.3.2 Timeout Setting This function is to initiate the equipment's function when it is in Timeout. The default value of this function is closed. If you set the setting as 1 minute, this machine will switch to the set mode after this machine keeps Timeout for 1 minute. You can also set sleeping or switch-off, etc. 3.2.3 Lock Key This function is to close the function of Switch-off key. If it is closed, you cannot start this function. -4-

3.4 Communication Setting 3.4.1 Machine No Setting Communication Setting only has Machine No. The setting scope for Machine NO is 1-255. When multiply machines are connected, the number for each machine must be different. The Machine No in computer software must be consistent with the setting here. 3.4.2 TCP/IP Setting To connect through Ethernet 1. Modify the IP Address of the fingerprint attendance machine according to the network setting;the default IP Address of the fingerprint attendance machine is 192.168.1.224. This is a legal and available address in many local area networks. If the network address in your host is 192.168.1.1, and it locates in the same network segment; and within this network segment there is no host whose address is 192.168.1.224, then you don't need to modify your IP address in your fingerprint attendance machine.otherwise, please modify it,and make it available in the network and accessible to the computer connected. 2. Close the power of the fingerprint attendance machine; 3. Plug in network connector in the Ethernet interface of your fingerprint attendance machine; Note: When the fingerprint attendance machine is directly connected tothe computer, please use Ethernet 10/100Base-T Crossover Cable. If you are to connect it with Ethernet through Hub/Switch, please use Ethernet 10/100Base-T Straight Thru Cable. 4. Open the power of fingerprint attendance machine. Note: Ethernet connection function is only installed in part of fingerprint attendance machines. RS485 port TCP/IP 3.5 Record Setting Record Setting is to demonstrate the promoted news on the equipment. It has three suboptions, including Management Record Alert, Verification Record Alert and Repeat Confirmation Time. 3.5.1 Management Record Alert Management Record Alert refers to the management log alert. Management log refers to the records to change the menu items. This is the remaining alert news given by the set record number. The default number is 100. That is, when the remaining space is only available for100records, the screen will show the alert information and reminds you to download management log record or delete record. 3.5.2 Verification Record Alert Verification record alert refers to the common log alert. Common log alert refers to the attendance records such as fingerprint and cards. Each record and verification is a record. When the remaining space reaches to the set alert number, the screen will give alert information. You need to immediately download transactions.repeat Confirmation Time You can set the time in this menu item to prevent the same user to repea this attendance record within -5-

short time. The default value is zero. It means that if you repeat multiply verifications within very short time,the machine will record all the records. Thus it will save the useless records in the storage space. Therefore, the customer can set to record the record within certain minutes. The allowable maximum time is 255 minutes (approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes). 3.6 Self-examination Function When you doubt the fingerprint has problem or it needs maintenance, you can use this menu item to solve and test the problem. If the test proves that the function is normal, then you may need to observe its out connecting parts. The self-examination function includes the test on storage, LCD screen, sound, fingerprint sensor, keypad and time. Please note that you must keep the power stable during the testing, otherwise you can conduct accurate test, and it will damage the machine, especially when the power is not stable. 4. USB Disk Management The main function of USB disk includes the following menu items: Download Verification Record Download All Verification Records Download Management Record Download All Management Records Download User Information Upload User Information 4.1Download Verification Record This item is to download the user's registration data into the USB disk. The user's work number may have several fingerprints, cards or passwords. All these data will be downloaded. 4.2 Download All Verification Records This item is to download all user's registration data into the USB disk. The user's work number may have several fingerprints, cards or passwords. All these data will be downloaded. 4.3 Download Management Record This item is to download the management record into the USB disk. Any records modified on the equipment will be downloaded into the USB disk. 4.4 Download All Management Records This item is to download all the management records into the USB disk. Any records modified on the equipment will be downloaded into the USB disk. 4.5 Download User Information This item is to download the user's information from the equipment into the USB disk. User information refers to all verification methods and user's working number registered at the fingerprint attendance machine. 4.6 Upload User Information This item is to upload the user's information from the USB disk to the fingerprint attendance machine. -6-

5. Data Inquiry This function mainly provides data inquiry. We divide them into three types of information, including system information, equipment information and advanced inquiry. 5.1 System Information System Information refers to the information examination, including the used data such as storage volume with different parameters as below: User Fingerprint Password ID Card Verification Record Management Record The user's registration number refers to the registered quantity Fingerprint registration number refers to the registered fingerprint number.password registration number refers to the registered password number. RF card registration number refers to the sensor card's registration quantity. Verification record number refers to the registered quantity of comprehensive verification records. Management record number refers to the quantity of modifications to the management record and the used storage space of the memory. 5.2 Equipment Information Equipment information refers to the all the information data on the fingerprint attendance machine, including:manufacture Date Serial No Manufacturer Equipment Name Equipment Model Algorithm Version Firmware version 5.3 Advanced Inquiry It includes verification record inquiry, management record inquiry and user registration inquiry. -7-

Verification record inquiry refers to the inquiry of all verification methods; you can inquire through user's working number or date, etc. Management record inquiry refers to the modification inquiry of the management log. User registration inquiry is to inquire each user's registration information. For each inquiry, you need to input the date scope or user's working number or user's name. 6. Connection Instruction 6.1 Exterior Connection Equipment The fingerprint attendance machine has an exterior equipment connector. In the package boxthere is a 8P line.
