Provide academic support to struggling Chicano/Latino/Hispanic students by creating a peer tutoring program during lunch or after school. Struggling students have support from their peers. Also gives LUCE members opportunity for tutoring (community service).

Semana Latina Week long celebration of Latino, Chicano, Hispanic heritage. Music, Dance, guest speaker, etc. Instill pride in culture and expose faculty/students to Latino culture. How has LUCE affected you? H.R. It showed me what college is like & what type of college I want to go to. Also, it made me work harder so I can go to the college I want L.V. able to visit colleges when otherwise I couldn t. Visiting UC Davis, I realized that it s where I really want to go C.R. LUCE is my inspiration to go to college. It is the only thing that is making me want to do good in school A.M. It has helped my leadership skills and interpersonal skills
