Access E-mail through Web App 3
Outlook Web App To access your mails over internet user have to follow the following steps Step 1: Open your any internet browser (Google chrome, internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox ) Step 2: Type https://mail.icar.gov.in in address bar as show below and the hit enter. 4
Step 3: Outlook Web App page will open and it will look like the snapshot shown below. type your email id & password and click on Sign-in to access your mails. 5
Step 4: After filling the credentials the Outlook web app will open and will look like the below shown snapshot. The basic task to perform are marked in red boxes. Inbox: all the mails will show inbox Sent Items: all the mail which is sent by the user will be displayed under sent items New Mail: If user have to compose a new mail ten user have click on the New mail icon abc.xyz: If user want to logged out from their Outlook web app (OWA) then user have to click on their user name (e.g abc.xyz) and then have to click on sign out 6
Step 5: When user will click on New Mail to compose a mail then below shown window will open. User can compose their mail and can attach documents by clicking on Insert. User have to type the recipient name to whom mail have to be send. 7

Outlook configuration for ICAR mail ID's To configure your ICAR mail id in outlook user have to follow the mentioned steps in this document. Step 1: click on Start button then go to Control Panel. Step 2: In control panel user have to find the mail icon as shown in below snapshot. Click on mail 9
Step 3: After clicking on mail a new window will open, in this user have to click on add as shown below. Step 4: Now type your username and then click on OK 10
Step 5: Now a window will open and in this user have to type your name, email address and password as show below. then click on next Step 6: user have see that ensure that all the three green checks are there or not, if these three green checks appears this means the email id has been successfully configured, then click Finish 11
Step 7: Now open the outlook from start option and type your password and your outlook is now ready 12
Step 8: After typing the password, the outlook will open and it will look like the snapshot shown below. The fields which are marked with red box are explained as: 1: New: To compose a new mail user have click on new. 2. Inbox: All received mails will displayed under inbox 13
Step 9: To compose a new mail user have to click on New, after clicking on the new a window will open and it will look likes the snapshot shown below. In this users can compose their mails, can attach any document by clicking on the attach file icon and have to fill the email id of that user to whom mail has to be send. After composing the mail user have to click on Send. 14

Email configuration on Android Mobiles Inbuilt email application with android phone can be used to configure ICAR mail ID. we have to follow below steps to configure email. Step 1 Find and click Email on your Android phone. The Email icon is located on the Apps page 16
Step 2 Enter your ICAR E-mail address and password and click Next. 17
Step 3 Choose Exchange as the type of account for ICAR mail ID. 18
Step 4 Enter values for the required fields: Field Input Domain\Username Password Server The full e-mail address that is linked with your Exchange account. E.g abc@icar.gov.in or icar\abc Enter the password of your email account autodiscover.icar.gov.in 19
Step 5 Click OK to allow for enhanced security. 20
Step 6 Configure additional settings based on your preference and click Next. 21
Step 7 Click Activate to enable the enhanced security settings. 22
Step 8 Click OK to update your security settings. 23
Step 9 Enter a name for the Exchange mailbox now set up on your phone and click Next. It is suggested to use your ICAR e-mail. 24

E-mail Configuration on Windows Mobiles Inbuilt email application with Windows phone can be used to configure ICAR mail ID. we have to follow below steps to configure email. Step 1: To Setup an email account tap settings. 26

Step 4: Now select the type of email we have to create. In this case we have to create outlook account so tap on outlook 29

E-mail configuration on Apple iphone Inbuilt email application with Apple iphone can be used to configure ICAR mail ID. We have to follow the below steps to configure email. Step 1: Go to Settings in Menu 33

Step 4: Click on Microsoft Exchange to configure your Exchange Email account. 36
Step 5: Type your email address, Username, Password and description as shown below. Then click Next 37
Step 6: Now type Server name: mail.icar.gov.in. After filling the server click on next. 38
Step 7: Now click Save to save the details of exchange account and now the exchange account has been configured. User can see their email by going into email app. 39
