Setting Up Inbound Routing To Email Log in to the Sharp Imager s web interface home page by typing the IP address of your imager using a web browser such as Internet Explorer. Note: The IP address shown below is a common example only. Yours may be different. Enter the IP address 192.168.0.201 2

Determining Microsoft Exchange Server STMP Settings Step 3. Choose View or change existing e-mail accounts and click Next. Step 4. Click the Change button. Step 5. This is the SMTP server. Note: You can copy and paste the SMTP server from the E-mail Accounts screen to the Sharp Primary Server field (see previous screen) by highlighting it and doing a Ctrl + C (cut) and Ctrl + P (paste) from the keyboard. Note: If you do not have a DNS server, you will need to enter the IP address (not name) of the SMTP server in the Primary Server field (see previous page). See the next page to determine how to obtain the IP address of the SMTP server. 8

Configuring The DNS Settings DNS Settings: Enter the IP address of YOUR Primary DNS Server. Enter the IP address of YOUR Secondary DNS Server. Enter YOUR Domain Name. 12
Configuring The SMTP (E-Mail Server) Settings Enter the IP address or name of the SMTP Server in the Primary Server Field. If you do not know this information, contact your system administrator. Note: The Information shown below is only an example. 13
Configuring The SMTP (E-Mail Server) Settings Enter a reply address in the Reply E-mail Address field. Suggestions: scanner@companyname.com or noreplyscanner@companyname.com Note: Most SMTP servers that do not require SMTP authentication do not require a legitimate email address for this field. If the SMTP server does require authentication, check the SMTP Authentication box (see below) and enter a legitimate user name and password (click the Change Password box to be allowed to enter a password). To test the connection, click the Execute button. Be sure to click the Submit button (found at the top and bottom of the screen) when finished or the settings will be lost and you will receive a failed message. Enter the IP address (or name IF you have a DNS server) of YOUR email server, Check this box IF authentication is required. Enter the Folder Path (IP address or Computer Name) of the computer where the Network Folder resides and Directory. Example: \\ipaddress\folder Note: This is case sensitive Faxes Choose Network Folder from the drop-down menu 4. User Name: This must be a Windows Local User (NOT Group). Be sure to give it full Security and Sharing rights. \\10.0.3.55\Faxes Case sensitive Case sensitive 5. Password: Enter the password assigned to the user.
