10.0 MOC SECTION 1 MAINPRO-M1 BRINGING BEST EVIDENCE TO CLINICIANS COMBINING EVIDENCE & CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY TO IMPROVE DRUG THERAPY OCT 23 & 24, 2015 FRI-SAT SURREY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WHO SHOULD ATTEND Family Physicians Nurses/Nurse Practitioners Pharmacists Allied Health Professionals Specialists Join us for a 1.5 day conference providing physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other health professionals with up-to-date, evidence-based, practical information on prescription drug therapy. Although primarily aimed at prescribers (MD's, NP's) and pharmacists, this course will appeal to any health professional who wants to learn and think about the scientific evidence behind what we should or should not be doing with prescription drugs. Lectures will provide reviews of best evidence for common syndromes including hypertension, cardiovascular disease, geriatrics, and infections. Small group workshops will focus on offering practical approaches to topical issues. Note that this conference is not supported by industry funding. ubccpd.ca
