This document provides instructions on how to remotely connect to the FIU network using the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. The Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client is used to allow FIU users, both on and off campus, connection to the FIU network through a Secure Socket Layer protocol. This will allow you to access all of your programs, files, and network resources (e.g., Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Lync) as if you were actually connected to the FIU network on campus. IMPORTANT NOTES: This document is intended to be used as a guide for students, faculty, and staff in Florida International University (FIU) Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM). An active Internet connection is required. These instructions demonstrate how to remotely connect to the FIU network using the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client on your assigned HWCOM computer.
