Select appropriate patients and assess the risks of endoscopic intervention. Demonstrate familiarity with a variety of endoscopic devices and techniques for treating gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary disorders. Assess potential impact of emerging technology on endoscopic practice. HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS Canto This advanced endoscopy workshop will allow participants to gain hands-on exposure to new and/or advanced endoscopy techniques and devices, utilizing a combination of animal models and simulators for training. Participants will select one of the following three modules: The hands-on workshops are held in our state-of-the-art endoscopy center. This is the only program nationally providing live fluoroscopy for training in ERCP and Stenting. MODULE 1 ERCP AND ESOPHAGEAL/ENTERAL STENTING MODULE 2 DEEP ENTEROSCOPY, HEMOSTASIS, BARRETT S MUCOSAL ABLATION MODULE 3 ENDOSCOPIC MUCOSAL RESECTION AND PERFORATION CLOSURE Due to the hands-on nature of the course, class size is limited and will be accepted on a first-come basis.
