4 15th Annual HIV Clinical Care Sy Course Information About the Course Changes occur rapidly in the fields of HIV and Hepatology. This course is designed to provide practitioners with the most up-to-date clinical information on a variety of topics to assist in their care of patients living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C. Presentation formats include didactic sessions and interactive case presentations, followed by subsequent question and answer periods. This year, we are proud to welcome Professor Robert Greenwald, JD. Robert has taught at Harvard Law School since He is the Managing Director of the Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School and is currently teaching clinical seminars on health and food law and policy. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Center, Robert is the Director of the Center s Health Law and Policy Clinic, where he oversees the work of Harvard Law clinical staff and students engaged in direct legal services in the areas of health and food law. Robert is a member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS, the co-chair of the HIV Health Care Access Working Group, and a member of the board of the Bessie Tart Wilson Initiative for Children and the Technical Assistance Collaborative. Professor Greenwald has served as the Director of Public Policy and Legal Affairs for the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts, as an advisor to the President s National Commission on AIDS and the HRSA/ CDC Community Advisory Board, as a board member of the AIDS Action Council of Washington D.C. and the National Lesbian and Gay Bar Association, and as a visiting professor at Northeastern University School of Law. Course Objectives After attending the course, participants should be able to: Discuss the current standards of care for initial, preferred therapy for HIV infection. Recognize the impact of The Affordable Care Act on the Ryan White Program. Describe the new classes of direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) available for treatment of chronic hepatitis C. List the antiretroviral medications which can safely be used with the new hepatitis C protease inhibitors. Describe the indications for human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination. Recognize criteria for the diagnosis of Personality Disorder. Discuss how the revised HIV testing algorithm differs from our current Western blot confirmatory testing. Target Audience The symposium will be of interest to physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, social workers, mental health practitioners, and case managers who care for those infected with HIV and Hepatitis C. Tuition By May 23 After May 23 Physicians $180 $200 Residents & Other Health Professionals $80 $100 Tuition includes the conference registration, continental breakfast, breaks and lunch each day and available course material. A special rate for attending one day is not available. Refunds minus a $25 administrative fee are possible if cancellation of registration is received in writing by May 30. After May 30, refunds are not possible, but a substitute may be sent in your place. Refunds are processed only when a written request is received by the Office of CME. The course may fill prior to the early registration deadline. Register early to secure a space.
