1 Eleventh Annual Research Symposium: The Nursing Link to Interprofessional Collaboration in Healthcare Research September 27, :50 AM 4:15 PM Check 8:30 AM Sponsored by Upstate AHEC in Collaboration with The Nursing Research Council of the, the Nursing Research Council of AnMed Health, Nursing Division of Greenville Technical College, Gamma Mu Chapter and Mu Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing Purpose This conference will provide participants with ways to integrate interprofessional collaboration in healthcare research into curriculum and practice, network with colleagues, and engage in interprofessional dialogue around basic, clinical, educational and translational research studies and findings. Target Audience Nurses, Academic Faculty, Educators, Students and Healthcare Professionals interested in healthcare research. Objectives At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to: 1. Discuss how to integrate interprofessional collaboration with research and education. 2. Assess awareness and management knowledge of guideline-based asthma education among clinical staff. 3. Identify the study design of an article and formulate a focused research question involving simulation education. 4. Discuss interprofessional collaboration in oncology research. 5. Identify interprofessional collaborative efforts, which use Lean Six Sigma, and describe its impact on healthcare research and quality improvement. 6. Discuss the benefits of early mobility in the intensive care unit and describe the steps to initiate an early mobility program.
