3 Course & Clubhouse BRIEF HISTORY OF GOLF IN KARLOVY VARY The original golf club with a 9-hole course was established in The current 18-hole championship course was built in 1933 by architect C. Noskowski. The course is one of the oldest and most beautiful courses in Central Europe located in the magnificent settings of the Ore Mountains. The course lies only 120 km from the Czech Republic s capital Prague and 5 km from the centre of the spa town of Karlovy Vary. The club offers refreshment, socializing and relaxing in a luxurious clubhouse which opened in 1997 and which provides first-class service even to the most demanding guests. The clubhouse accommodates a cosy restaurant, bar, relax center, golf shop, VIP apartment and lockers with showers and restrooms. Catering in the clubhouse is being provided by Grandhotel Pupp Karlovy Vary which is looking forward to provide accommodation to the EMAC 2016 players in a five-star hotel with a 300-year history. 5 Accommodation The only & exclusive partner hotel is Grandhotel Pupp Karlovy Vary Address: Mírové náměstí Karlovy Vary - Czech Republic Webpage: Special room rates for players and guests are valid as from May 30 th till June 5 th : Single & double room with one person occupancy 145 EUR /night Double room with two-person occupancy 165 EUR /night The rates are inclusive of accommodation, breakfast, VAT and daily shuttle service between hotel & golf course upon request. The municipal spa tax amounting to 15 CZK/person/day (= 0,60 EUR/person/day) and car parking amounting to 250 CZK/day (= 9 EUR/day) are not included. Please note: the above special room rates apply for reservations made by players and guests before the 30 th of April, Breakfast will be served daily in the hotel from 07:00 till 10:30. Please note: players staying in the hotel but starting in the first morning flights during the three championship days will have their breakfast served earlier in the clubhouse! The same applies for the championship officials and guests. The payment for accommodation has to be made in cash in EUR or by credit card at the hotel reception upon check-in. 6 Registration Entry Forms and Conditions of Competition are available on the EGA website ( All entry forms and payments must be made via the EGA. Players are asked to register at the Tournament Office upon arrival in Golf Resort Karlovy Vary and not later than on Wednesday, June 1 st 2016 at 12:00. All competitors must register in person. Catering Meals will be available in the clubhouse from 06:30 till 20:00 daily. Water and fruit will be available for players free of charge on the course during the three championship days. Practice Facilities Driving range, chipping and putting greens will be opened one hour prior to the first starting time and will be available for players till 20:00 daily. Practice Days Two official practice rounds will take place on Tuesday, May 31 st and Wednesday, June 1 st. Players themselves are responsible for arranging their own starting times for both practice rounds at Golf Resort Karlovy Vary, mail: recepce@golfresort.cz; tel Caddies Caddies will not be provided. Manual Trolleys Manual trolleys will be available for players at the price of 8 EUR/round. Please complete and return the Manual Trolley Booking Form by May 13 th, 2016 at the latest. Course Guide A stroke saver will be available at the reception/pro-shop in Karlovy Vary at the price of 4 EUR/piece. Ceremonies The Opening Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 1 st at 19:00 in the clubhouse or on the adjacent summer terrace (weather depending). The Closing Ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 4 th immediately after completion of the final round of the championship. Dress Code A reasonable standard of dress is required at all times on the course and in the clubhouse. Jeans, tee shirts and track-suits are not permitted. Caps and hats are not permitted in the clubhouse. Only soft spikes are allowed on the course. Mobile phones must be switched off on the course and in the clubhouse at all times. Golf Shop A full assortment pro shop is on the premises of Golf Resort Karlovy Vary. 6

7 Lockers & Golf Bags Storage Lockers will be available in enough quantity in the clubhouse. Golf bags may be stored - upon request - in a locked and guarded room in the clubhouse. Medical Service Medical service and first-aid kits will be available in the week of the championship on the premises of Golf Resort Karlovy Vary. Tournament Office & Information Tournament Office and Official notice board will be located in the clubhouse and prominently marked.
